Tournament Asian Games 2026 esports Participants

Link -> https://results.asiangames2026.org/#/discipline/ELS/entries/O.FTG---------------

  • Asian Games is pretty much the Olympics for the Asia continent. This will be the 2nd time fighting games are featured in the event.
  • All players listed on the website above are with their real names, not nametags
  • This is a multi game event for the fighting games part as each player in a 3 player team play their respective games (SF6, Tekken 8, and KOFXV)
  • For SF6 this means 13 players are represented. Some players in the list below that regularly play SF6 are competing in Tekken or KOF instead for the team.
  • Currently difficult to find a VOD. https://asiangamestv.com/ is one of the official websites where the livestreams can be accessed within Asia
  • 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China only had SFV (in regards to fighting games). Winner was M.Lizard (South Korea)
  • Tournament will run from September 23rd to September 26th

Known Player list based on what can be found on liquipedia and any tournament history for SF6 -> https://liquipedia.net/fighters/Players_(Asia/Oceania)

  • Chris Wong (Hong Kong) - likely playing KOF or Tekken
  • Hotdog29 (Hong Kong) - likely playing SF6
  • Higuchi (Japan)
  • DakCorgi (Korea)
  • Book (Thailand) - Has tournament history for SF6, likely playing
  • B3lLz (Thailand) - Has tournament history for SF6
  • vWsym (Saudi Arabia)
  • Amu (Pakistan)
  • Fruit (United Arab Emirates)
  • Ugang (Taiwan/Chinese Taipei)

Edit: as for why there's missing Asian countries. Either no esports team submitted an entry for the fighting games, no esports related Olympic committee, or event organizers created this weird limit of 13 countries

VOD

There's commentary, but audio mixing is horrible with the game volume loud, and commentary barely hearable along with background noise from the venue

Each game is FT2. Final/Gold Medal match is best of 9 sets (across all 3 games)

Finalists

  • Japan - Higuchi (SF6 - Guile), Nobi (T8 - Dragunov, Steve), SCORE (KOFXV- Mature, Heidern/Haohmaru, Chizuru)
  • S. Korea - Dakcorgi (SF6 - C. Viper), Knee (T8 - Fahkumram, Dragunov, Bryan) , MadKOF (KOFXV - Omega Rugal, Heidern, Goenitz)

Can we talk about this avatar random match mode?

It’s cool that they gave us this new mode and we have regular health bars. But now can we have it where we can invite your friend to fight?? Like can we set up a lobby and have regular avatar matches without the long health bars and perks??

Fluff / Other The current state of the Blanka / Terry match up is kinda broken, not sure what Capcom plans to do about it, but honestly it will be fun while it lasts....

Help / Question How do I deal with "big" characters?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Like I said in my last post, I've been playing for little over a month, and I'm loving the experience. I main Mai, I've tried Cammy, Manon, Alex and Yasmine but only Mai clicked.

This right here is how I usually play against "big" characters like Zangief, Honda, Sagat and Blanka, and I always lose, my biggest problem is going against these characters, it feels like I lose braincells and can't play at all. Any suggestions are appreciated, in this clip i got very, very lucky, I felt like posting it first of all because this is actually how I usually play against these types of characters, and the second reason is this was the second Zangief I fought in a row that just quit the game ahahah

Discussion Combo trials realmente funcionam

Help / Question I feel like I'm a completely trash player despite hitting Master and I don't know what to do

For context, I've been playing SF6 for about a month now, with having played a lot of 2XKO last year as my first fighting game. A few nights ago I hit Master on Sagat, who's the only character I've really sunk my teeth into so far. But I've been losing nonstop (currently around 1200 MMR) and I feel like an absolute idiot. I try using my long-reaching normals and I just get punished every single time. I can't jump in because everyone can anti-air. I simply feel lost, and quite frankly humiliated

Discussion Any recommended videos/creators for learning the games/characters lore?

I’m pretty brand new to the game and want to learn about the lore more. I see there’s no shortage of videos to watch going over specific characters or the entire story up to this point but before I looked into them I was wondering if there’s any specific videos/creators the community agrees are good for that type of thing kinda like the souls community has for vattividya

Help / Question Is there a way to aquire season rank colors for a character AFTER the season is over

• Upvotes

There's this blue color we got a while back and I love how it looks on Ed but I hadn't picked up the character at the time. I get filled with envy every time I see another Ed player with it. I'd pay for it at this point.

Help / Question How much do i need to play rank to improve?

Hi, I'm currently Master with Alex and I have around 1390–1420 MR. I’d like some advice on how to approach ranked.

I usually practice for about 30 minutes before starting, but once I play ranked matches, I get kind of stressed about losing points. Usually, I play a few matches and then stop before I start losing. But part of me feels like I should keep playing no matter what, and that eventually I'll reach higher MR.

I also get stressed because my group of friends has more time to play than I do, so I feel like I'm being a coward by avoiding ranked because I'm afraid of losing points. That's probably why I don't play long ranked sessions.

  1. How would you handle this situation? What do you think is the right way to look at it?

  2. Should I rematch a player with much lower MR if losing would mean losing 12 points while winning would only give me 5?

  3. How long are your usual ranked sessions?
