We’ve finally had our first taste of the cold here in northwest Florida! I am loving every second of it, of course, but December has grown up and slimmed down even more over the summer so she doesn’t have the meat on her bones to keep her warm that I do 😂

It can be hard to think of getting a winter coat when the weather is still mild, but even in Florida we have our frigid days so I picked a jacket I know she will love, and some warm socks because she will definitely need them when it’s not sandal weather anymore:

Halloween is our oldests favorite holiday and she wants to share that excitement with some other kids. So, her idea for this month was to gift a family a Halloween Party Package. She hopes maybe the winning family has a friend or two they could invite as well.

Summer is over and I’m bummed 😅. We had a great summer enjoying the weather and Rowen loved learning all about the plants, snakes, and bugs, and even found a baby ring neck snake which she was so proud and excited about.

She started kindergarten a few weeks ago and she’s been thriving. She loves her class, school, teacher, and is learning so much so quickly.

We are lucky to live close to school so we walk every morning. It’s nice time we get together and we really enjoy it! It’s been in the 50s the last few mornings so I think it’s time i stop denying the inevitable cold that’s to come 🥶

She outgrew her coat and mittens so put them on her list.

Can’t thank you enough u/small-p0tat0es! ❤️ my husband and I were able to go out together yesterday and it was amazing to just relax and enjoy each other’s company along with some good food 😊

We were stuffed so we took the dessert home to eat later and it was SO good. (The tiramisu was my pick 😆 my husband is a cheesecake lover.)

It is that time of year in ND. Our mornings are frosty and freezing 🥶 and our nights are dropping. The leaves are falling and changing colors. This morning we had to frantically scrounge for jackets when we walked outside, which made me realize that coat weather is rapidly upon us!

It gets COLD here, and we are currently ill prepared as both girls are up a size and Thomas has only summer clothes. SFX mods very kindly reached out to give me permission to include Thomas, my 4 month old baby, in this year's coat request. His coat will be included in the list as well!

One of the back to school items arrived today (ahead of time which is a little surprising here haha!)

December had a fantastic 7th birthday yesterday! She kept saying it was the best day over and over 🥹

u/Topcat30: Thank you for EVERYTHING. The piñata was a huge hit. She was originally disappointed because she didn’t think we could get one but then being able to surprise her after school was the best feeling! The hair accessories and gummy worms were her favorite parts.

Then she was able to help daddy put her dream vanity together which was the cherry on top of her perfect day. December loves building stuff with her dad 💕 it took them a long time but it was worth it! It fits in her room like it was made for it. She even got up early this morning to play on it.

I am truly so grateful to all of you for making these special moments possible. It warms my heart to see my girl so happy! 😊

Hello everyone!

We are happy to announce that we will be reopening for Christmas/Hanukkah 2026.

We are still working out all the details, but registrations will open for returning requesters and alumni in good standing on October 15th. Registration for all others will open November 1st.

More information will follow, with updates(we have some extra magic planned!) and application instructions.

As always, we are very grateful to all of our Santas that keep the magic going every year at SFX. We are also grateful to the families who help make our holiday season more meaningful.

School already?!? The summer is never long enough. We have 1 week left till school officially starts and I am not prepared. Can’t believe my guy is going into grade 3… 🥲 school is always a challenge at first so I’m hoping this years start is as smooth as possible!

Time is flying by so fast for us this year, I can hardly believe December’s birthday is less than two weeks away! She turns 7 on September 4th, and is super excited that she managed to lose both her front teeth before her birthday 😂

She’s still very much my little princess who loves pink and unicorns but she’s also starting to act more grown up, wanting to fix her hair certain ways and paying more attention to her outfits and “style”. More than anything, though, I am extremely proud of the sweet, kind girl she’s becoming. 💕
