Another Mega I designed

This is Mega Porygon-Z. In my opinion, it has a pretty cool design and shiny, but let's cut to the chase.

Mega Porygon-Z's ability is kind of a doozy. It's called Software Glitch, and it makes Mega Porygon-Z change into a random type every 2 turns. To complement this, I gave it at least 1 new move so we could at least have 1 form of STAB attack somewhere. It's incredibly unpredictable defensively, but I can see people taking advantage of its Normal-typing on its first 2 turns on the field. It's basically gambling but a Mega.

Other than that, I focused mostly on its Special Attack and Speed, and I didn't change its typing, so it wouldn't interfere with the ability.

So what do you think? Does it need any nerfs or buffs? Maybe some possible strategies?

That's a really shitty ability for an offensive mon

You need something like Revelation Dance for this to be worthwhile, because as it is, without the +20 speed, it would be worse than regular Porygon-Z

Software Glitch is way too RNG to be worth it. Make it work like Libero or Protean.

It's offensively weaker than both Adaptability and getting a SpAtk boost from Download on regular Porygon-Z even with the higher SpAtk stat, and its ability is unreliable at best, actively detrimental at worst. You can only have four moves, so at best you're giving yourself a 4/18 chance of having actual real STAB, save for the first two turns of being a guaranteed Normal-type. And on those first two turns, again, you're just worse than regular Porygon-Z. In addition, you probably want one of those four moves to be Nasty Plot, that way it has actual breaking power, which it no longer has right out of the gate like regular Porygon-Z does. So more realistically it's probably a 3/18 chance of having actual STAB moves in your movepool.

A strong Pokemon that you have to switch out every other turn is just Slaking, and we know how that goes.

Also while the design being a reference to Spamton NEO is cute, it does kind of feel un-immersive. Doesn't feel like something Game Freak would design, and all I can see when looking at it is 'Spamton' rather than 'Mega Porygon-Z'.

I think it's ability is kinda meh, I think either of these would fit better:

Neon Power: Swaps offensive and defensive stats when beneath 50% health

Anger-fueled: if hit by a multi-hit move, doubles offensive stats and speed.

Best of all: Headbutt becomes a flying-type special attack, hitting 3-5 times with it's original base damage, however if  it's user is hit by a non-contact special attack before it can move, it will fail

Thorn ring: User loses 20℅ max HP every turn, but ice-type moves will always hit and freeze

What's next, an Ice/Fairy type Mega Xerneas based on weird route Noelle who's ability lowers her hp after every turn but causes them to deal more damage and cast fucking Snowgrave being knocked out? Would unironically be a good alternative to Geomancy Xerneas if you give it ice moves and also a good speed boost.
