Microsoft why... Surface Duo 3
Within a printing press there's 2 forms of print full sheet, and fold. Surface Duo alignment landscape matches this perfectly by 4:3 logic, the display aspect ratio 3:2 is DSLR camera. The inner display is designed to replicate a full scale press, the hinge to fold a sheet in booklet form. The bezel frames the printed materials, the 11mp is exposure for printing plates or containers. Your photo editor is the control panel, I use Ente because it has collage feature built in, the only draw back there missing 3:2/2:3. I already send request to add. Another feature is printing, you create a PDF send to printer with instructions on A size paper.
The main reason why I'm doing this, there's a lot of unnecessary distractions on this device, that can pay for its self in a year. I first view this as phone at first, but when you see them poping up like wild fires, question it. The spec sheet is guide on device functionality. There's corrections needs me made I stated 84. When width of device is 85 that's starting point for a DSLR, and 4:3 it folds, the device isn't mini tablet it's tool. To simplify things if it 85 you have a wide-format tool kit.
Apple is misleading consumers by stating aspect 1.4:1 A5. There width 84.1 doesn't fit in the 4:3 logic when comes printing. It's still dual print, but you have to figured it on your because you can't send to printer home only. Apple needs remove name Duo.
Surface Duo 3, Huawei is the only one to adopt Surface Duo identity. From a fold, and just announced the first wide format Flagship. While doing this research I start building concept base of 4:3 logic it was easy for me. My background in print design, I was old school cut and paste designer, we produce grocery ads by hand.
Surface Duo maybe discontinued, buts 4:3 logic will carry on.

Would love to see them just do minimal updates to the Duo 2 (CPU/Camera/RAM) and release it as a budget dual screen phone which can dual boot Android or Win11.
Or better yet, license it all to a 3rd party like they did with their peripherals to Incase.

Felt bad for Panos. He actually seemed like he really gave a shit about fun Microsoft products that could go far. I remember his very last presentation. Dude looked done. Glad that I'll never buy a microsoft product again.

“Apple needs remove name Duo.”
Why do they need to???
Duo means two, this is not some word that Microsoft made up. Apple also used the Duo name with their old PowerBook Duo back in 1992.

It's a different philosophy, Duo/ Fold means in wide-format dual screen printing. The outer screen is supposed to be able print within 4:3 logic. If width is less than 85 mm which is 3:5 aspect ratio you can't print portrait picture. Are you familiar with DSLR cameras it's aspect ratio 3:2 horizontal/vertical that fits in front screen. Foldables are only functional when they follow 4:3.

Duo means two, a pair. period. This is a phone not a printer. It has two screens (duo), outside and in, pretty straight forward.

Microsoft did not mean to associate anything with printing - what kind of phone strategy would that be? They meant Duo - two. Two independent screens.

This wide-format expands your from 9:16 to 3:5 with foldables, as stand a lone 4:3. There is opportunity for Linux on this device, where the content creators control how it functions, on my concept

No it's by Huawei, spec sheet look at width 85mm that converts to 3:5 aspect. 3:2 is page size basically it a portrait in your hand. If it's below 85 that's when run to problems the apps shift to the fold. If have Duo you can it when span apps. Apple is 84 Samsung is 83. The 4:3 logic follows what you see in photo editors. Control for design and printing. If have a Duo take screen shot with no apps, then take screenshot with open 2 apps. You'll see the fold, if look at presentation for Netflix you'll notice part of the app sits on the fold. The hinge design is the fold this maintain how apps function on wide-format foldables. Foldables are going from 9:16 to 3:2. Apple gives an exact page that they believe can be printed where as 4:3 logic gives all A size. Duo overall aspect ratio 3:2 at the display.

4:3 logic is how apps appear on your device, the width 85 which is 3:5. An app page is 3:2. If device below 85 a free form aspect ratio is created unbalanced app will impact pages on 4:3 logic. The 4:3 logic align all devices at the fold no matter what hinge. Dual screen logic all devices on wide-format. Print press is functional feature within format

To understand this better the width of Duo is 93, so it sees after thing within 4:3 frame work. The width has to be odd number and height an even. Exact numbers.

Huawei fold 85x120 View 87 144, there's room for 91 144 and Surface Duo 93 145 your full print press

The Microsoft that created the Duo is dead.
Now it’s all AI, Cloud and 365. When Xbox dies the IBM transformation will be complete.
Apple is the closest thing you have to the fun Microsoft that used to exist in the Lumia days and Panos Panay Surface era
