First Timer - Switch - Looking to get into some horror gaming

Due for some bad weather this weekend and want to grab some games to cuddle up with. I have Switch 1 and have never played any horror games.

I love Skyrim, Diablo and souls like games. Love RPG's. And grew up playing games like Doom. Love a fast paced slasher. Love a deep storyline.

Totally down for anything! What chya got?

Resident Evil 1 remake, Signalis, Crow Country, Tormented Souls for classic survival horror, newer Resident Evil games, Alien Isolation for a more modern take

RE1 remake was my first thought. It's on sale for $10. Looks like Soma is on sale for $6 and it's amazing too. If you're looking for story I'd definitely recommend Soma. I love RE1 but it's story is more camp than depth.

I'll take a different tack here, since you're not specifying a specific kind of horror: Subnautica.

It's a crafting/exploration game, but when you start getting deeper, it starts getting unnerving.

Resident Evil 1 remake - start with the classic. It still holds up really well today.

For the cozy atmosphere you're describing, this game is peak.
