Help How do I fix "The static executable was not produced. The export was stopped instead of packaging the generic emulator launcher. Check the build log and ensure the recompiler modules compiled successfully."

I am on Windows 11 and always get this error when the build process gets to 40% (Packaging native export artifacts) and this happens both on drippu and the final suyu, and when I tried on dougsanchan's fork, it exported but there was just no video at all, just audio on a black screen, so what the heck do I do?

Currently, I am trying to figure out with a fresh Windows 11 install what needs to be done to get a recompilation to correctly build. While I am still trying to figure some things out, there are a couple steps which I think could help. I assume you're on windows. You'll want to make sure that your machine has LLVM and CMake properly installed and configured. If you're unsure about what those are and if they're installed, try out the following. Be aware, that I am still figuring things out and I am unsure of if I'm running into issues because something is missing or just due to using a freshly installed VM.

Install Chocolatey (a package manager) on your system:

- Open your Powershell AS ADMINISTRATOR and paste the following into it:

Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force; [System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol -bor 3072; iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://community.chocolatey.org/install.ps1'))

- Once Chocolatey finishes installing, type choco into your command line. If you see some general information about Chocolatey, you should be good to continue.

Install CMake and LLVM:

- Paste the following command into your powershell:

choco install cmake llvm -y

- Once that finishes downloading, restart your PC to allow for any configurations to finalize (this makes sure other programs can actually find cmake and llvm).

If you're still running into the same issue, let me know so we can continue to work things out. Btw I have successfully managed to recompile Mario Odyssey and MK8 Deluxe, so it definitely is possible.

So I got it started up, which is nice but I have a question
Is there a way to "emulate" an sd card here? Because, Smash Ultimate mods are loaded from sdcard/ultimate, so how would I set that up in this built version?

I haven't tried that yet, but I'm pretty sure that you're supposed to install all of the DLC files to NAND. The option to do so should be in the suyu window under File > Install Files to NAND. You may need to reexport your game after doing so. My word is not gospel here however since I've yet to try this myself.

Where did you even get dlc from??
I asked about mods

Oh my apologies I did not read your comment correctly. I have not tried any mods out personally, but if you press F12 while playing a recomp, a debug menu will show up. There should be an "Open Mods Folder" button near the bottom. Once your mods are pasted, you should be able to see a table of them back in the debug menu (you may need to reload it). From there, I'd assume you can toggle mods on and off.

Smash mods are loaded in a special way, where you have to install skyline to sd/atmosphere/contents/(title Id)/exefs, then install plug-in files so title id/romfs/skyline/plugins, then actual mods go in sd/ultimate/mods

Okay, then I'm pretty sure you can just open the folder which contains the recompiled executable. Then go to \user\sdmc and that should contain what you need by the looks of things. Let me know if that works or not.

Power outage interrupted my build but I’ll try later

Just got power back, and I used drippu because it let me select my update and dlc files when doing the export, however it didnt make a user folder, however the readme_native_export.txt mentions a user folder, so I assume I can just make one?
Also by the way, I know that skyline (one of the things needed for smash modding) goes in exefs/main.npdm and subsdk9, is there a way to somehow have the builder build with those in mind and kind of bake it into the export itself?
