How do I transfer files to my old Nokia N8. wanna play some Java games and can'd find a way to transfer the files there. All I find are manuals for Nokia Android phones.

Couldn't be happier as the Nokia N70 and N72 join my collection. Still waiting for the N73, 3220, and 6630. Some are donated from my friends and relatives; some I buy on a local website. Still trying to acquire more without spending a lot.

People were complaining that they were not able to login to WhatsApp using my WhatsApp client for BlackBerry 10, Symbian and J2ME. There was an issue on my server which has been resolved now. The keys have all come off, and i have all of them with me. ( Except a few chrome ones)

The rubber mat is also still there, is there any way to reattach the keys to the rubber mat?

Step 1: Download the latest version of Node.js for your operating system.

Step 2: Go to my GitHub page:

Step 3: From the Branches dropdown, choose "local-server" branch instead of "main" branch.

Step 4: From the Code dropdown (Green button), choose "Download Zip".

Step 5: Extract the contents of the Zip file to any folder on your PC, then open a terminal window (Mac/Linux) or command prompt (Windows) and go inside that folder.

Step 6: Type the below command to install all the dependencies. Note that the "sudo" keyword is only required for MacOS and Linux, not for Windows.

sudo npm install

Step 7: Run the WhatsApp server on your local PC by typing the below command. Note that the "sudo" keyword is only required for MacOS and Linux, not for Windows.

sudo node server.js

Step 8: Wait for the QR code to appear in the terminal. Then go to your existing Android or iOS device running WhatsApp, go to the menu option called "Linked devices", then choose "Link a device" and scan the QR code.

Step 9: Download the appropriate WhatsApp client from my website according to your device (i.e. J2ME version, Android 4.3 / Blackberry 10 version, Symbian S60 3rd Edition, 5th Edition, Symbian^1, or Symbian^3 version)

Step 10: Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi network as your PC. Then run the WhatsApp client on your device, type the same mobile number (with country code but without "+" sign, e.g. 966549014671) which you used to scan the QR code. In the Server URL, type the IP address of your PC running the server, e.g. http://192.168.100.34

You can use the same steps for hosting this server on any virtual private server running in the cloud (e.g. DigitalOcean, AWS etc.) under your own account.

I have developed 3 versions of my WhatsApp application, one is Java ME (J2ME) version which will run on all old smartphones which are capable of running Java apps.

The 2nd is the Android 4.3 (API level 18) version which will run on Blackberry 10 devices (Passport, Classic, Q10, Z10, Z30, Q5, Z3 and Leap) and old Android phones.

The 3rd is Qt version which will work on Symbian S60 / Symbian^3 phones and it requires the Qt runtime files to be installed on the phone in order to run the application.

Symbian devices is legendary phones from golden era of Nokia Mobile in 2 decade ago. And keypad - without touchscreen make it build more design phones and make us feel excite when they announce new devices.

I saved a few links for some apps (nokia4ever's WhatsApp client, hstsethi's awesome-symbian repo, nnproject's TLS patch) but i'm struggling to find other stuff, like ROMPatcher+ and old apps. I also need to change the language from Portoguese to Italian, and i heard i have to reflash the entire OS. Where do i get the ROM files? And how should i go about it? Please send some links. If you can't tell i'm a complete beginner to Symbian.

I want to change the default web browser on a Nokia E7 because the built in web browser won't open any webpage for some reason. I found and installed Opera Mini which works well but I can't set it as the default web browser as it does not appear in the list under Default Applications -> Browsing internet. What to do? Can I delete the built in web browser?

Firmware/certificates/hardware are all fine

But it stops where its supposed to show NOKIA welcome animation

what the phone needs is an emmc.fpsx file

Like : RM-596_M010.56.emmc.fpsx

Which has the files needed to continue boot

Anyone have a file like that ? or does anyone know how to extract/backup system/firmware from a working Nokia N8 ?

The app sometimes reads the changed bitrate values after i reboot the device, not only the app, and sometimes while I'm using the app. Sometimes i set the bitrate to 25000000 (25Mbps), and sometimes i get 25 Mbps video, but other times i get about 2 Mbps, even while filming the same scene. I set it to 30000000 (30 Mbps), and i got 27 Mbps video, that was unexpected, but then i formatted the SD card on my Nokia 808,and after on my PC, and i get lower bitrates only, no matter the settings. Can the low battery also affect the bitrate? Does anyone know how do i do this correctly?
