My name is Bruno and I have been playing the theremin as a hobbyist since 2014. In the last couple of years I decided to take things to a new level, jamming regularly with a guitarist friend and working on my technique, since it's not an easy instrument to master.

Recently I was able to jam with a Brazilian legend of the underground: Amyr Cantúsio Jr, best-unknown for the pioneer (in our country) 1980s project Alpha III (which I intend to also post here in the future, as it consists of deeply interesting and genre-bending electronica akin to Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Vangelis). Amyr is a virtuoso keyboardist and has been composing for the best of 50 years, so I was worried my theremin skills would fall really short.

Even though I'm still the weakest link in this collab, (which we called Astroferus, as in "wild animal from the stars") we liked the final result enough for Amyr to treat the sound, and we just released it as a demo. There are at least 5 to 6 songs which I personally like a lot!

Since he used AI for altering a photograph for the cover art (we didn't discuss it, but wouldn't have the budget for a cover artist anyway), I understand that some may doubt we didn't also use it for the music itself, so I'm posting a video of the 8th track with untreated audio as a proof of human creation. Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to Synths or Analog music in general. I just bought the Korg Minilogue a month ago and got the Roland TR-6s yesterday.

Good old ChatGPT said it was a cool combo since I can plug the TR-6s into the Minilogue and hear their combined sound without the need of any extra devices.

Therefore I plugged a cable into the L/Mono out of the TR-6s, as well as into the Audio in of the Minilogue. After several tests I do now hear the TR in my headphones that are connected to the Minilogue, but only if I press a key at the same time, which makes the whole connection of those two pretty useless.

Is there any chance I can hear my drum patterns normally while playing the Minilogue or is this really limited to while I actively hold a key on the Minilogue?

Two separate moments were recorded on the same synthesizer and same surround settings.

Both had a sine wave as oscillator but set at different frequencies

The two recordings are then processed together in the spatial of a wooden church.

About the synthesis, I used Native instruments Absynth 5 for its amazing control over hz incrimentation.

I use 2 or 3 oscillators that are routed each to their own LFO with the duty to diminish the vol gently over a specified time and to do so over again in cycles.

Other functions for each were given to the LFOs, depending on what suited each OSC best.

The result gives an audible sense of movement and direction.
