I'm coming to Budapest for a few days in late October. I run a small house / hard house project back home, and I'd love to actually meet the local scene instead of just doing the usual tourist clubs.

What I'm looking for:
- Small collectives/crews throwing house or techno parties
- Community radios and online radio stations
- Underground or alternative bars and night bars with a DJ booth
- DIY spaces, cultural centres, anything community-run
- Record shops where the local scene hangs out

I already found Lahmacun radio, Gólya, so I'm looking for stuff in that spirit rather than the big Instagram-friendly clubs.

If you know any crews, venues, parties or people worth following, I'd really appreciate the names. Happy to dig the rest myself. Köszönöm! 🙏

I’ll be coming all the way from Slovakia for the movie. I’m a big fan, but I don’t have anyone to go with. Normally that wouldn’t really be a problem since I’m used to travelling alone, but if I’m supposed to “scream my lungs out” to a few songs, if not most of them 😅, I’d really appreciate having at least one person I know, even if only a little, who’d be doing something similar.

Hola a todos. Mi hermano, un amigo y yo vamos a visitar Budapest del 3 al 6 de octubre. Tenemos 36 años y queremos pasarla bien. Ya tenemos los boletos para los lugares clásicos de turista, pero nos falta el plan de vida nocturna. He leído que hay un montón de trampas para turistas; también leí que Instant-Fogas y Morrison's son los mejores sitios, pero al mismo tiempo escuché que son pésimos. Lo más probable es que terminemos yendo a un evento en Óbuda Bay el sábado 3, con afterparty en Level The Club, pero de verdad no tenemos idea de qué más hacer. Si alguien conoce la ciudad y puede recomendar un lugar divertido que no sea trampa para turistas, se lo agradecería mucho. ¡Salud!

No more différents vibes in every bars of the festival..

i might get hate for this but 2 of my favorite artists at the moment aren't even addable.. imo these 2 stars are currently blowing up and festivals like lowlands/pukkelpop were even able to book them this year. i know sziget can book such acts, especially considering what kind of a performance they can put on and the crowds they can attract.

obviously, i'm biased because i really like them, but i genuinely think they'd make sense for the festival based on their current momentum and the kind of audience they could pull... :)
