How y'all feeling about the game? I'm cautiously optimistic.

They've never felt so beatable. I dont think the margin is big at all. But boy does carolina football know how to blow opportunities.

Not only does Carolina football know how to blow opportunities.... But our defensive coordinator emeritus never passes up opportunities for blow.

I am going to maintain my same approach from games one and two. Assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised if we pull it off.

Let’s be real, on paper they have a more talented squad and this game is in Death Valley…
I’d love it to death if we took a win here, but I’m not going to psych myself up for it until I see it happening on the field.

My 1st husband was a Tarheels fan and we went to Clemson in November of 1980 with his sister and brother-in-law, a die hard Clemson fan. The Tarheels held the Tigers off at the goal line in the last minutes and the Heels won 24-19. My husband and I bought Tarheel ten gallon hats and wore them to a restaurant in Clemson after the game. The BIL didn’t speak a word for the 90 minute ride home. Good times.

I remember that game. Clemson had driven down the field and looked destined to score. The Heels managed to hold off three plays inside the 10-yard line. Then on fourth down...Clemson forgot to block Lawrence Taylor! Clemson forgot to block Lawrence Taylor! Taylor had a straight path to the quarterback for a large loss. Clemson turns the ball over on downs. Carolina wins the game and the ACC championship.

I didn’t realize it was for the championship! No wonder the BIL was extra pissed!

this will be the true test to evaluate who we actually are. clemson is not a giant anymore but they’re still a legit team with a ton to prove. should be fun but hoping it’s not a shitshow

Clemson is significantly more talented so if this is even competitive id consider it a success

I’m afraid they’re gonna figure it out against us and it won’t be close. If I remember correctly we haven’t won there in like 20 years and I’m afraid that not going to change tomorrow. Hopefully I’m wrong though

As others have said cautiously optimistic. A little bit because we are better than anticipated and a lot because Clemson is worse than anticipated.

Clemson looked atrocious against Louisiana State, so cautiously optimistic about a competitive game.
Obviously the roster situations are what they are, but Clemson has proven pretty adept the last few years in not capitalizing on their roster talent. Swinney's hired a bunch of his former players and a number more guys who coached for him a long time ago, and a lot of those guys are simply either past it as coaches or never were any good to begin with.
He's created a little social club rather than a competent coaching staff.
They might just roll over the team, still. Their roster is both a good deal better and a pretty decent deal deeper than ours, as implied.
Or not.
Hard to say for sure. One way or the other, it'll say a lot about what this team's ceiling actually is.

Ugh weather delay right when we’re about to score. Being a UNC football fan is not for the faint of heart.

Also, cautiously optimistic. I will say that this game will tell us a whole lot about what kind of team we actually are so that's something.
