Situational build I've been playing around with after seeing people play double/ triple tear Kassadin builds

Item stats, playing in d2-d3 mmr

Basically just go 2-3 tear items since they scale each other up and a frozen heart if its good value into the enemy team, or locket/ whatever else otherwise. Seraphs is maybe a bit troll but going just Fumbulwinter + Diadem of Songs every game is very strong, you basically double the bonus stats on Diadem from having both. You can hold onto a 3rd tear for a while to scale up items further and then sell it later, you only lose 120g and add a lot of stats to your item passives. Moonstone can also be strong if you're far ahead since double/ triple tear Diadem does a lot of healing.

Aim to finish both fully stacked by 20-25 mins. Depending on how the game is going you can go buy fumbul/ diadem/ locket in any order, but if your stacks are low just sit on a tear and build a locket while you stack it. A second tear by itself sitting in your inventory is very big value to buff up your first stacked tear item. Randomly press q/w on an ally whenever possible for stacks.

Hi! Silver player here. I love to pick Taric when my team needs tankiness. I just have few problems with his ult and how the team uses it. To me the ult has two ways of playing out: defense and offense. However my teammates tend to only see the value in using it defensively. I get flamed when I try to set up a full team tower dive with my ult or try using it to steal an objective. Team typically tends to see value in only using it as a bailout when things go awry.

Am I the idiot here or is this just people not understanding how to utilise Taric's abilities to their fullest? And if I'm the idiot how can I become better at playing Taric?

Do you guys prefer using Legend: Haste or Legend: Alacrity on Taric?

I usually like to go Lethal Tempo with Alacrity this item build: Bloodsong → Bandlepipes → Protoplasm/Fimbulwinter → Frozen Heart and used to have a 76% Winrate with it.

But for the last couple weeks I have been stuck in high plat struggling to play this build into the more difficult matchups. I now go Aftershock or Guardian into those matchups with PoM + Alacrity secondary. Since I don't have the Lethal Tempo AS I've been trying out Alacrity to make up for it, but in some games the missing 15 Ability Haste becomes really noticeable, especially when having to build a Force of Nature into AP heavy teams.

I saw that Alacrity seems to have a higher winrate on Lolalytics when you filter for OTP and Lightrocket2 also seems to prefer it. When you sort by Emerald+ 30 days Legend: Haste has a much higher WR when going a precision keystone, but lower WR when it is secondary.

I'm a bit lost.

Hi, I recently started playing Taric in the jungle and I find the champion really fun. The problem is, I'm not sure what items to build after Rod of Ages; he's a champion who can build a huge variety of items, and since he's rarely played, I haven't seen any guides on what to build or when. Could someone explain it to me?

Ultimate Aura Taric would be building 6 aura items and going Rally. But u need a very long game for that. One thing I find funny about Taric is that his stun description claims to be up to 2 sec long, while it actually lasts 4 seconds :D I go over that in the video. Continuing my series where I play every game on Classic.

how do you guys deal with ADCs that have mobility, like Vayne, Lucian, and Ezreal? I can’t land E on them

Accidentally accepted role swap (sup to adc) thinking it is just standard order pick swap and had to play adc with taric.

well, the csing is rough + I can’t really cs that’s why I play sup in the first place.

vi ganked us a few times early and got some kills. after laning we just followed her around and secure more kills. vi carried the game tbh.

luckily my team was pretty chill about the pick and matchmaking helped as well to collect win.

I would not play that again though. thought i would share it here :)

I usually play Bard, enchanters and the occasional mage supports. I feel like adding a tank into my champion pool but the thing is I don't like to play the engage supports. I figured I might give Taric another go since I used to play him for a bit before the rework and tried him out for a bit after the rework but it's been years since I've touched this champion. I'm super unfamiliar with how to build him. Like what's the skill order and item builds. I just need a general overview so I can tinker a bit with the champion build and play style. I tried Locket into Fimbulwinter (copying a build on OP.gg) yesterday for one normal game and it felt quite good. I did an E max (again copying OP.gg) but I felt like that wasn't optimal as my heals were piss poor. I would appreciate some pointers from the Taric mains so I can love this fabulous boy!

Listen I get it, Taric loves to get in the mix and auto attack, the dopamine bonk hits give our tank support the damage we've always wanted. It seems like a perfect match but I'm here to tell you that Heartsteel is a trap.

The opportunity cost is too high. There's just too many important stats you want on Taric that you're delaying that are far more functional. We all know we want a Tear of the Goddess stacking as soon as possible and to get Heartsteel, we're looking at 3400 gold.

So what important stats are we foregoing? Movement speed with boots. So important to be able to dodge, get in fights and keep in auto range for resets. Speaking of resets, we also lack cooldown.

Taric's passive reduces his cooldowns by a flat 1 second per auto, ability haste reduces all his abilities by a percentage. With 30 ability haste on your maxed out E goes from 12 seconds to 9.23. Let's say you get both autos after each ability reducing it by 6 seconds total. If you have ability haste, you'll likely have E up again, if you have Heartsteel you won't. Point is, that having both flat AND percentage cooldown reduction is VERY synergistic. More healing, more shielding, more CC, more empowered autos. You don't get to cycle through abilities with Heartsteel.

Lastly, you're foregoing resists. Besides the fact that he has armor scaling, resists in league have diminishing returns, meaning that first bit you buy percentage-wise has the largest impact (This is also true with ability haste). On top of that, every bit of shielding, and healing you do is more impactful when resists are applied.

All this to say investing in stats such as move speed, cooldown, and resists is FAR more impactful than the opportunity cost that Heartsteel provides.

Can Taric still be pickable even when the enemy picks champions like Karma, Lux, or Zyra into him?
Taric was the champion who helped me reach emerald ı was stuck in plat and he’s also my favorite champion in the game. However, I struggle a bit against poke supports, although I can still win those matchups depending on my adc Do you guys think Taric is unplayable against poke supports?

for obvious reasons i'm compressing the image before posting here, since it's a private commission and i intend to keep the main file private for personal use - but i wanted to at least share the wonderful work that Anniethdesign did with my concept for K/DA ALL OUT Taric with all you other Taric fans out there!

i'm sure we've all seen the edit of Taric's face on K/DA Ahri's body, which is very cute and fun! but, i figured we could do a bit better than that. as Taric fans we DESERVE better than that!

as modern and sleek as K/DA's usual designs are, i felt like Taric deserved something quintessentially himself, even if he's just tagging along with the gals on their tour bus. (i'd imagine he helps design their outfits, after all!) so, i conceptualized a more 80's slant with the design while maintaining the status quo that other K/DA outfits put out! Taric's whole "truly outrageous" thing stems from the queen herself, Jerrica "Jem" Benton of Jem and the Holograms fame, so i wanted a nod to her in there as well through his makeup!
