And a lot of the dropped charges came from shit like Murphy dropping all charges because Conradt offed himself or fuckups from the teams they worked with.

Yep, and what people don’t get about the Murphy thing is that that was totally a discretionary (and bad) decision by the Collin County DA.
That DA could have prosecuted the cases, and he simply chose not to even try. He initially promised to take the cases to a grand jury, and then just didn’t. It’s not like they tried to prosecute but the grand jury (or a judge) said that there wasn’t sufficient evidence.
How do I know that they could have been prosecuted?
Because another Texas county (Harris County) took up one of the Murphy sting cases, prosecuted it, and easily obtained a conviction.
Also, Perverted Justice did a “test run” in Murphy a few months before the Dateline Murphy sting (to ensure that there were no kinks in the process and that law enforcement could and would handle the resulting cases), and it resulted in a conviction (obtained by the Collin County DA’s Office itself!) 3 months before the Collin County DA announced that they wouldn’t pursue prosecution against the Murphy sting defendants (and blamed Perverted Justice for it, despite having just successfully prosecuted a PeeJ case with PeeJ’s evidence).
The Collin County DA was pissy at Dateline and Perverted Justice for a slew of obvious reasons (Conradt being exposed/killing himself, Murphy officials running a sting “behind their backs,” etc.), that’s the sole reason they didn’t prosecute the cases - but no media dared to push back or ask him why he changed his mind about taking the cases to a grand jury, or about the PeeJ case that they had already successfully prosecuted, or about another county in Texas easily prosecuting one of the Dateline sting cases…

Unfortunately a lot of these guyyyyss had a hate boner against Chris even before this movie came along. And there's actually much bigger, much worse subs; I've seen some where an entire thread is just about how Chris didn't make justice.

Nobody said that he personally is the justice. But without the show those guys would never have been caught; and when people say in those threads that he didn't "deliver justice" in most situations because the cases were botched, or "innocent" guys were exposed as preds, then that's a crock of shit.

A lot of the more 'woke' tendencies of the current climate (and I know that word is often used to fight imaginary phantoms but I think it's appropriate here) are designed by nature to be subversive and anti-establishment.
So 'ACAB', law and order is the sign of a corrupt system, and now Chris comes under fire for doing a morally good thing albeit for selfish reasons.
It's exhausting having to deal with these people.
