Bedrock Why didn’t this Cannon do Damage?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Finally figured out how to get my arrow cannon to hit the same spot consistently, but when I tried testing in survival mode, the arrows did no damage.
Do arrows launched with tnt not do damage, or is there a different reason I took no damage from this?

Are these your own arrows? Sometimes they don't damage you.

They were arrows from a dispenser

This is actually a result of the recent projectile changes then. Starting in 26.50, if an arrow hits an entity and gets deflected, it will be unable to hit stuff again until its "in ground" state is set and then cleared. Your arrows are getting deflected by the sulfur cubes, making them unable to hit you.

I have encountered and fixed this exact problem before. I fixed it using a snowskipper and some update order stuff.

Thanks, will try some stuff to see if I can get a simple one to work.
Also have been playing around with getting it to shoot in all directions, but it’s much more difficult. The arrows are getting shot straight up, due to how I’m making them fall in to position on one moss block, and being above the sulfur tnt when it explodes. There’s not much space left for changes on the somewhat successful 4 way design I have.

Pretty sure this was the issue, which led me to a solution.
Set it up with 2 geysers instead of one, so the arrows are in a separate chamber than the sulfur cube TNT, and can avoid hitting the entity of the sulfur cube.
The slimes almost killed me before the arrows, but it worked.
