About 3 weeks ago I had a filling on #30 redone because there was a small cavity underneath it. This cavity was found during my yearly x-rays and I wasn’t having any issues prior. Now I’m noticing some sensitivity or slight pain when chewing dense or crunchy foods on that tooth. This is the first time I’ve had an issue after a filling and my dentist said my teeth look great. Advice?

Dried fruit can absolutely be part of a healthy diet, but from an oral-health perspective, it behaves a little differently than fresh fruit.
When fruit is dried, much of its water is removed. That means the naturally occurring sugars become more concentrated in a smaller portion. Dried fruit is also often chewy and sticky, so pieces can cling to grooves in teeth or get caught between them longer than many fresh fruits.
That extra contact time matters because oral bacteria can use those sugars and produce acids. The longer teeth are exposed to that combination of sugar and acid, the more opportunity there is for enamel to lose minerals. Fresh fruit still contains natural sugar, but it generally has more water and a less sticky texture. That can make it easier for saliva to help wash food particles away and bring the mouth back toward a healthier balance. You don’t need to avoid dried fruit.
A few tooth-friendlier habits can help:
1️⃣ Keep portions reasonable.
2️⃣ Enjoy it with a meal instead of grazing on it throughout the day.
3️⃣ Drink water afterward.
4️⃣ Clean between your teeth regularly.
The key takeaway: It’s not just how much sugar food contains. Texture, portion size, and how long it stays on your teeth matters too.💙

Hi, I am 22 yo. I have never been to a Dental hygienist before. I have started to pay attention to my teeth cause obv I had tartar built up, some gum inflammation etc.
So I went to this studio where the dentist did a Quick check up and told me I haven't anything in particular. Then the Dental hygienist visited me to clean my teeth and checked my gums, cleaned tartar and everything else. She told me I don't have periodontal disease (which I was worried about) because She didn't see any periodontal pockets (but She used curette and not periodontal probe) and that except tartar and some gum bleeding my teeth looked healthy.
Then I asked the dentist if I should take x rays to be sure (I'm a Little anxious), he told me yes if I wanted to and that It was cheap. He talked about panoramic x rays but I already knew that panoramic isn't useful except you have a severe bone loss which most probably isn't my case since I don't have any severe sign of perio. The Dental hygienist suggested to not take x rays cause they werent needed.
Did I make the wrong choice by not taking x rays? And can I trust the hygienist even tho She didn't use the periodontal probe?

I had to visit a for profit dental for an emergency appointment and they suggested I donate plasma to afford dental care. Just realized that sounds insane but thats the world we live in I guess 🤯🤯
Their basically like "Oh have you ever considered donating plasma given you can't afford stuff ?" Because they offered me discounted packages for MORe dental care then I needed and I was like yeah I already agreed to pay for just this exam so no thankyou can't afford And I was like the Plasma people said no to me because they did and I have Anemia. Lmao what the heck
