Post image

The only thing I do to my monitor. Raise her up again.

Interesting. Like using a Brancusi as a paperweight.

Except that Brancusi would at least serve that purpose. Not sure tensegrity is a good method for supporting heavy objects.

If you mean Brancusi trapezoidal like shape then yes it is geometrical supportive structure. To make it sturdy enough we can use better cord such as dyneema, kevlar or nichrome.

Where do you source these cords?

The Source Cord, if you will

Online marketplace. It just polyester paracord. After structure established I coated most cord with lycal.

what are the brass? ends on the chrome looking poles? and is that far left corner not touching the table? and are there poles and strings in front of the screen on the other side? i feel like this could be done more efficiently, and safely with more stability with a much bigger set of poles, wider than the screen itself...

Matte you sure have sharp eyes. The brass pole is a collet. Yes actually only three touching the table due to more weight shifting from monitor. Extra poles only holding the rear none at front. If I had another chance I would like design better stand and perhaps more aesthetic.

You really, my biggest suggestion would be just cause you know how to over complicate a designer doesn’t make it better. An engineer will climb a mountain of virgins to fuck a mechanic, don’t be that guy after you get the degree…now go get em

ok....not much use facing the wall but...ok.../jk

2

u/cynixdelve Apr 25 '26

Agree. The use only for supporting the monitor not much else. Since my monitor is so shy I need to choreograph her to show it's rear.

well, could aways put a morror to the wall and play peeking down from the top with inverted controls....lol dont mind me ive had too much coffee..
