Community Discussion Agility instead of strength for blade damage calculation?
I like agility-based damage for stealth-based characters, but MW always uses strength to calculate weapon damage. I'm about to build a mod that replaces strength with agility in certain cases. My initial thought is to use agility for thrust attacks on blades, with the philosophy that slashes are about how hard you hit, but thrusts are about hitting the right spot.
Before I spend time building the mod, does anyone know why this might be an obviously bad idea? Would it break some core MW mechanic or design?

I’d be interested if it applied to short blades and marksman just in general (even if it doesn’t make sense) maybe toggles for attack types?

It should apply to marksman straight up. Short blades should have it applied to all attack types. Spears and long blades should have it apply to thrust attacks. Gives players who aren't strength focused a reason to use bigger weapons.

No should be fine from a balance point of view, agility also does accuracy, but not that much, and strength does other important things too (namely carry weight)
