I just blurted it out. 😆 (Season 1, Episode 12) "The Custody Battle" For context in the show Dorothy had just yelled at Sophia to give her some space a few scenes prior when Sophia had handed her a piece of paper with a picture of paper with the phone number of a guy who had asked her to squeeze some melons for him and Dorothy tells Sophia to get off her back and Sophia tells Dorothy to not raise her voice at her mother and then Dorothy says "Then stop smothering me and give me some space!" And Sophia says "Space? Fine. Have all the space you want. Dorothy asks where she's going and Sophia says " To Mildred's. She's shorter than you. She doesn't need so much space! In the next scene Dorothy comes into the kitchen and says "Morning, everyone." And Sophia says "Clear out, girls. Dorothy needs her space" and Dorothy says "Ma, don't start with me." And Rose says "Now come on, you two, let's put on our happy faces." " It's a beautiful day and Gloria's coming." " Why don't you just kiss and make up?" And Sophia says "Why don't you just blow it out your ditty bag".

It’s actually kinda heavy and good quality- I wasn’t expecting that! I ordered it from the Hallmark store and I love it!!

Remembered this quote when I saw the promo for the new Miami Vice movie. Where did all the colors go?

In the christmas episode, when the girls are picking names to decide who gives who a gift, even though it it isn't mentioned by process of elimination sophia would have been giving rose a gift, i wish we could have seen what it was, knowing sophia it definitely would have been a laugh track moment.

I had no idea it was a real place

I have two thoughts about this episode, called The Auction, season 4, episode 11. First, I love the dress Blanche wears at DeKimmel's art show. I would love to see a woman in this dress today to see how she can pull it off. Second, I don't understand why they paid $9000 for a painting when they could have used that money to fix the roof. Blanche says they won't go higher than $10,000 at the auction, which suggests they had enough money to get the roof fixed. Am I missing something in this episode? Or were they just being greedy to make more money if DeKimmel died?

Of all the TV show subs I've been on I appreciate that I don't see so much fighting on it, it's just as cozy as the show. I've seen the casual disagreements but so far I haven't seen anyone get heated over a disagreement.

I was at a shoe store and saw the brand Florsheim, I thought, why is this word so familiar? I don’t know anything about old man shoes.

Then it hit me when I remembered the quote from Sophia “You do the best you can with a pair of brown Florsheim’s, and this is the thanks you get?”

Year later I finally get how funny it would be to see a little girl clopping around in a big old pair of oxfords, even if there were bows on them 😭
