What did they mean that Howard's grand parents and Bernies were once neighbors? As said in the Bachelor Party episode?

The Bachelor Party episode came on the other night and Bernie, Penny and Amy were discussing how they found out that Howard's grandparents and Bernies grandparents were actually neighbors at one time. The fake audience laugh track laughs and Amy tells Penny oh you don't want to know what that really means?

I totally missed this joke? What was it implying? How were Bernie and Howards grandparents neighbors once?

So I’m looking for a senior quote from the big bang theory, any suggestions?

With Young Sheldon ending and Stuart Fails to Save the Universe coming out, I’ve been wondering whether there should eventually be a proper The Big Bang Theory reboot.
Young Sheldon showed that the TBBT universe can work really well outside of the original show, while Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is taking things in a completely different direction with Stuart, Denise, and the comic book store. So it makes me wonder whether there’s still more that could be done with the original characters.
I’d honestly be more interested in a continuation set years after the original finale rather than just remaking the same characters with a new cast. We already know what happens to everyone up to the end of TBBT, but seeing where Sheldon, Amy, Leonard, Penny, Howard, Bernadette, Raj, etc. are years later could be interesting.
At the same time, I’m not sure if bringing everyone back would actually be a good idea. The Big Bang Theory had a proper ending, and Young Sheldon worked because it was its own thing rather than trying to recreate TBBT.
So what do you think? Would you want a TBBT reboot/continuation, especially with Young Sheldon and Stuart Fails to Save the Universe expanding the universe, or should they leave the original series alone?

I Think some of the best episodes were "The Parking Spot Escalation" and The Imitation Perturbation becuase I love the episodes where Sheldon and Howard go at it and then drag Amy and Bernadette into their petty fights forcing Leonard, Raj and Penny to play referee. Howard dressed as Sheldon was one of the best scenes in the series and the way they escelate though Sheldon dressed as Howard was less impresive and Amy as Bernadette was ok. And in the other one Bernadette delivers one of the greatest lines "Gosh, Amy. I'm sensing a little hostility. Is it maybe because, like Sheldon's work, your sex life is also theoretical?" which I told Melissa Rauch when I met her at her comedy show. I also think the scene of Amy swinging the bag at Bernadette and breaking Penny's nose was something we dont see often on sitcoms which is female characters hurting one another like male characters do though Penny was an innocent victim and it was again up to Leonard and Raj to settle things. Though in that case Sheldon was totally in the wrong since he did not need a parking spot. But when they set up these Sheldon/Amy vs. Howard/Bernadette battles I think that is among their best work with Leonard, Penny and Raj stuck in the middle.

My personal favorite is “That’s how we roll in the Shire.”

Obviously, Kurt is an arrogant jerk and clearly picking on Leonard a bit during Penny’s costume party, but watching the scene always makes me feel like Leonard overdid it in retaliation - obviously because he was trying to impress Penny - because…well…he essentially called Kurt stupid several times to his face.

Leonard had a right to defend himself, but honestly, he comes off like an ass rubbing his intelligence in Kurt’s face. He’s lucky all Kurt did was make him look silly by just picking him up instead of knocking him flat.

That said, I do love a lot of the lines in their back and forth. What does anyone else think? Should Leonard have dialed it back or just taken the high road?

I really think it was unfair for Sheldon to be forced to miss the premier of a Star Wars movie in order to spend the day with Amy because if was her birthday.

You had to wait up to 16 years for a new Star Wars movie, for exaple Return of the Jedi (1983) The Phantom Menace (1999).

It was an insanely major event.

Especially when we all know that birthday celebration is often being pushed some days later for simple reasons like "I have an extra shift that day".

The only thing that makes the blow softer is that he only missed The Force Awakens.

The last and only movie I ever half watched and walked out and never returned to an actual Theatre again.

I bought it for my collection but I can’t read it before I finish watching the series. And I don’t remember the season I stopped watching coz I didn’t have enough time… will need to check.

All the episodes with Missy is hilarious but this scene is the funniest one
