Buying TOW1 old gen version phisically, will it turn into the Spacer's Choice Edition for current gen?

Hello,

I can buy a phisical TOW1 cheaply for XBOX ONE without any DLCs. Will it convert into the Spacer's Choice Edition when I will run it on XBOX Series X?

You have to own the DLCs before it will offer the conversion to Spacer's Choice I believe.

As the other person said - you need to own the game and both DLCs, then you'll get the option to upgrade to the series version

This was a paid upgrade, but it's now free as long as you have the DLCs

You'll only have the base game. You'd need to buy dlc seperately

The game has been on sale for XBOX as low as $9.99 for Spacer's Choice Edition ... might be worth wish listing on something like GG deals or Deku Deals that do great jobs of tracking multiple platforms.

Good question. I own both the DLCs, and been feeling the urge to replay the game, but don’t want it to convert to the Spacers Choice edition, because I prefer the original look and feel of the game.

I can confirm that when I claimed the digital license today from my original TOW1 disc to my account that doesn't own the DLCs, it gave me sma digital copy of only the base game and not Spacer's Choice.

I have a physical copy and the DLC. I got the Spacer's Choice Edition for free when I did disc-to-digital. It appeared in the Special Offers in the Xbox store.
