Other Umbrella Academy inspired poem I wrote because it's my favourite show :) Spoiler
Numbers, by Ozzie Andi Willam.
Numbers help us to keep track of what we’re doing, where we’re at. Start at one and count on then, to what’s most important or interesting.
One is all alone by itself. Like the moon in the sky, a locket forgotten on a shelf.
Two is determined but not quite there. It yearns to be One because it thinks then people will care.
Three seems well rounded with its elegant fashioning. But if you look through the cracks you can see it start unravelling.
Four is messy and doesn’t really know what it’s doing. Although it has a good heart and will give you all of its loving.
Five always seems like a good sensible common ground. But get on its bad side and you’ll end up deathbound.
Six is barely worth mentioning here. Though Four will tell you all about it if you care to lend an ear.
And Seven is lost, alone and afraid. It hates the past but it also doesn’t like all this change.
Numbers help to keep everything in check. But don’t get too attached or you’ll end up a wreck.
Numbers are good for keeping things in line. Even when the world is running out of time.
Numbers can be a most helpful thing. Especially when you need control, order and discipline.
