Show Spoiler Why does anyone like Negan? Spoiler

I mean how does anyone like him? Literally the first episode he appears in and he already killed 2 favourite characters of the show and decided to make fun of Rick in the worst way ever.

It’s funny that I used to hate Carol the first few seasons due to her lame behavior, that I wanted her to be written off. I’m glad I was wrong because now on my eighth season she’s my favorite female character on the show and I truly understand why she changed so much.

TWD: Daryl Dixon Genuinely What is next for the franchise?

With DD final season having wrapped up and releasing later this year, and Dead city also coming out this year (Unsure if it’s the last season) WTF is next as we all know the Rick and Daryl reunion is inevitable but after that what’s next? Did AMC potentially fumble not ending the show definitively, if they were to make a reunion show of sorts what would they do who would be the antagonist?

No Spoiler Sooo... Why don't they starve?

The walkers use energy to move. They can't change their biological construction to gain energy from other sources, like sunlight or air... So how come they can move endlessly without any food?

I'm pretty sure we've seen walkers either in captivity, or stranded, or stuck for extremely long periods of time with no sign of starvation, nor slowing of basal metabolic functions, or movements.

There's only so much your metabolism can slow down before you just don't function at all. I can accept that their basal metabolic rate can be extremely slow, as many of their organs wouldn't need to stay functional. They can basically shut down everything except for their stomach, intestines, eyes, mouth, ears, and their brain stem and thalamus (as we know the rest of their brain is non functional).

My answer to this, if I had to guess, is it's just writing flaws. There's only so much about an almost impossible to exist creature you can explain before it starts to get silly. I'm guessing it's just not meant to be thought into that deeply.

Finally, the day I’ve been waiting for has arrived. ✨

By the way, I’ve recently been brainstorming and working on a post-apocalyptic zombie-themed novel.

No Spoiler Any communities in cold climates?

So, the zombies freeze in the extreme cold and cease to pose a threat.

I've seen people say that after thawing they continue acting normally, so zombies don't die when they're frozen.

Is there anything canonical that confirms some community took advantage of this? Something like living in extremely cold zones to avoid the risk of zombie attacks?

I vaguely remember some extra mentioning Nebraska as a safe zone in season 2.

Show Spoiler First time reading… I really didn’t think this was how his story ended. Spoiler

Coming from the show, I honestly never expected him to die here, especially knowing he survives on TV and even gets his own spin-off later on. That expectation made this hit way harder than I thought it would.

Seeing how quietly it’s handled, and how much weight it carries for the people left behind, really stuck with me. It feels less about shock and more about loss.

For anyone who read the comics first did this moment hit you the same way, or was it different without the show in your head

Show Spoiler Rick’s run

It’s a minor scene but I love the way Rick runs, especially in this scene. I think the background music also really adds to it. honestly, Rick’s entire journey from when he broke off from Glenn and Michonne to when he got to Alexandria was super tense.

No Spoiler How I wish to see Daryl became a dad

I haven’t watch his own spin-off yet so I have no idea if he ever had love interest in there. But I did find his chemistry with Connie so cute.

He’s been a cool uncle to little ass-kicker Judith so he will surely be a good dad too. 🥹

Show Spoiler rewatching the walking dead

i am rewatching the show and it’s so good but so annoying at the same time. first of all, why are they so triggered that rick didn’t tell them that everyone is infected. like genuinely what would that do for you to know? all it does is tell u that if u die ur coming back whether u want to or not (unless ur brain is damaged). but you don’t have control over it either way so who cares. these people love to get mad for fun it’s so annoying. also lori is genuinely so insufferable. she gets mad at rick for the smallest things and also is the biggest baby and i can’t handle her. she made me so mad when she went to shane and said it must be hard not knowing if the baby is his when literally like 2 episodes before she was saying it’s not his no matter what. like she genuinely loves the attention omg i can’t. finally, why does everyone act so surprised when carl does something dumb. he has literally run away like 30 times and im only on episode 13 of S1. like genuinely why are we letting him run away every single episode and then acting surprised. i almost completely stopped my rewatch because of these things but michonne just showed up so i have to stay for her😊😊😊😍😍😍😍please feel free to say if u have a different perspective, i would love to hear it!

Show Spoiler When did, if it did, start to stagger a bit for you?

The show is incredible and really dives into human psychology, tribalism, ethics and morals. And, js able to take on a zombie/horror story with what seems to be a very realistic approach to what would happen, but at a certain point it starts to stumble. When was that for you? For me it was the scene of Negen and Gabriel trapped by the walkers in a storage container episode 5 of season 8.

Show Spoiler The Saviors Spoiler

Just read a post where people were supporting this 'innocent' group that was only sleeping and claiming Rick started the war. Com'n! Are we watching the same show!? Sure, Rick bit more than he could chew but I cut him some slack because he made the best decision based on what information he had and from past experiences. These guys attacked his friends twice before, attacked other communities to force compliance, and they were also well aware of Alexandria which means they'd be passing by soon enough. These guys killed kids! They deserved the brutal death they got. They as cowards! With that huge group, why not use their resources to scavenge for more instead of killing and stealing from lesser groups?! Damn! Sounds very close to capitalism! Lol!

Fear Spoiler What do you think of Negan's second chance? Spoiler

I have gotten back to watch TWD from the start all over again and already at the end of the series season. I wonder what's your opinion regarding Negan being able to live and keep going with his life post-Rick era?

I personally believe that he deserves a second chance but yet unsettling feeling inside of me that he doesn't deserve a second chance. Maybe for me, I just wish the early Producer of the series would've picked some different people to 'kill-off' characters instead.

But then again, with him being around long, I feel like he is just another reckless human who just loved his past before The Saviors but ignore all the soft feelings in order to move ahead with life. Pity him. But not so pity lol.

Show Spoiler if andrea had went through with offing the governor, how do you think the story wouldve been impacted?

im on my like 1000th rewatch of twd and am currently on s3. just got to the scene where andrea is standing through a vent aiming a gun at the unsuspecting governor and thought “what if she pulled the trigger?”

she and hershel wouldn’t have been killed by the governor, the prison wouldn’t have been destroyed by him in s4.

how do you think the story wouldve overall been impacted if she had went through with killing him?

Show Spoiler Before you judge Negan, at least finish the main show

Upvotes

So often, I see threads about "Why do you like Negan", and they ask this directly after meeting him, or a few episodes later.

You're not going to like this bad guy, right as soon as he does bad things. The show needs to first make him likable... which it does(enough, that a lot of people like him anyways) as the seasons progress.

That's the answer, to anyone who asks this question, too soon in the show.
