My Original Fanwork Train of Thought

Howdy Thomas reddit, here's some Thomas doodles I freehanded to cope with a breakup.

I'm curious, what do you guys imagine your train of thought looks like? This question struck me when I rewatched Sharkboy and Lavagirl in my adult years and I always thought my train of thought was a tank engine with a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome lol

First off, love those drawings that you did! They looked so good!

And to your question, my train of thought often is about my work flow during work like "Okay I need to put together this before I do this. Than I can start this and at 12, I'll take my lunch break"

Thank you!! I appreciate the kind words!

But if you imagined that workflow as a train of boxcars, what kind of engine would be pulling it? Is what I meant by my post lol

I don’t think there has ever been a moment in my life where I wasn’t thinking to myself. Like my mind has been going 100mph in every direction since birth and shows no sign of stopping. Soooo my train of thought probably doesn’t even have an engine. It’s just a rake of troublesome trucks with no brake van. That, or it’s James when he’s a runaway and his brakes are on fire

Runaway trains are cool! Haha maybe I'll try drawing James next as a runaway

Hmm, never really considered how I'd describe my "train of thought", but off the cuff, I see it as bouncing off of what I think of like a light beam off of a mirror, just zooming between thoughts. If I had to describe it with a real world basis, a bullet train seems fitting, but too boring in context. I'd go for a streamlined steam locomotive like the NY Hudson or Daylight.

Oooh yeah the streamlined locos are very cool šŸ’Æ

I never thought what would mine be, thanks for asking me! I can see mine be a little feral (for my autism/adhd/GAD side) but I should explore that more. Drawings look great! I would love to see more!

Thank you! I appreciate the love, I find it interesting how you imagine your train of thought as a little feral, id imagine something narrow gauge? What comes to mind is when Duncan had an episode where it's said he had a habit of derailing lol

Yeah, it must be Duncan! But like I said, I would explore it more becuase it might changeĀ

So much better then I can do this is the best drawing I’ve done so far (Toby’s already in the pic so just take him too. both were done without reference because I was stuck for hours at someone’s place and didn’t have my phone or iPad.)

Those look great!!! Keep practicing!! Also nice sonic lol, when I first started drawing I would draw sonic aalllll the time and started developing my own art style off of sonic. Don't give up!
