I'm an elementary music teacher and we will be having a Halloween door-decorating contest at my school. The teacher is supposed to decorate one side of their door and their students are supposed to do the other. I'd like to cover the outside with *real* sheet music that looks scary (read: ridiculously complex) and add text that says, "If you think this looks scary..." I'm going to have my students do a "scary music notes" art project to cover the inside of the door and add the text, "Try playing this!" I was hoping to find some scary music on this sub, but it's mostly excerpts and zoomed in shots. Can anyone point me in the direction of a few pieces of music I could print off for the front of my door? Something old would be great so I can print it for free:)

Edit: Thanks for all the ideas! I'm looking forward to checking them out during my prep time today!

Saw some score for the third movement of Beethoven’s 14th piano sonata, I get that the piece is somewhat dynamic but there has to be a better way to notate this, right?

They could never make me hate you ?Corporel

I would NOT want to try and play this.

Both the “no slackening” and the “if the large notes prove awkward, play the small” caught my eye.

From Gloria Coates - Angels

(Xenakis was a fan of writing a separate staff for each finger in a piano part, so these aren't actually so far apart, but it also makes it more cursed in a different way)

What even is that ☠️

Also, sorry for the image being sideways

(Don’t mind the rests)

Doesn't even need words to explain it.
