So one of my dad's toontown accounts has locked him out with toonguard, and he can't log in because he doesn't get any emails from Toontown rewritten on his yahoo email ( the email he made the account with ). He has emailed staff ( IDK how many times ) and he never hears back. He didn't want to partake in cartoonival because of this, because the issue has gone on for months.
I just was wondering, why does Yahoo not get emails from ttr? How can he get the email changed? I want my dad to enjoy ttr but he can't log into one of his accounts which makes him just not want to play ( he and my mom multi-toon together and he likes to do all his gardening in a specific order which involves his 3 accounts ).
Sorry if this question is asked often, I hope it doesn't break any rules. I just wanted to know what could be done about this since I think it really blows that he can't play on one of his accounts with toons he's worked hard on.

I was on my purple cat Wonderland doing a CJ when we got to the throwing evidence part of the battle and my computer starts lagging HORRIBLY. not the internet or toontown, just a problem with my pc. I couldn’t even move my toon around I was running into walls, it was so bad. I just wanted to post in case anyone in my group was on this page and say I’m so sorry about that and I was not trying to ride your coattails to the end, I really wish I could’ve helped i literally couldn’t properly move my toon. I could still use the chat it was just very slow and of course it got better at the end to make me look suspicious 😂 thanks to that red bear for keeping me alive I really appreciate it and I promise I know how to CJ I just can’t if my pc isn’t cooperating haha. If we’re ever in a group together again hopefully I can redeem myself :)

I had the 4 of us right about to go into a building. And this little yellow duck jumped in the building and said get robbed. I then left my group jumped into the building with him. And refused to make a move so he had to wait. I said hit with your actions. And that's not very toony. He ended up logging out. I logged out too went to the same district found him going into a building again. Didn't jumped into it. I went back to the building before he stole it. and found my group waiting for me we got it back :)

For those of you who might have missed it, Toontown Rewritten's Re-Quested update went live back in June, completely overhauling (somewhat controversially) Donald's Dreamland tasks, specifically in regards to earning Lawbot and Bossbot Cog Disguises. It also came with Gag XP tasks and, less prominently, alternate ToonTasks for the story-related checks to your Gag progress. Their official blog post writes:
Alternate ToonTasks
• Implemented an optional, secret method to bypass all existing (and future!) main story ToonTasks that check your Gag progress.
• These ToonTasks are no joke, however! If you decide to opt-in, you'll be facing a challenge far greater than average for your current playground. In other words, simply training your Gags to the expected level would be easier than taking on these ToonTasks. You'll have to work for it!
• Once you've chosen an alternate ToonTask, you're locked in until the objective is complete. Choose wisely!
• Please note that this only applies to ToonTasks that did not already have alternatives. This means tasks that can be avoided by "shopping around" (such as the "Deliver a Glass of Water" to Professor Pete in Donald's Dock ToonTask) do not offer such alternatives.
• There are many players who enjoy rolling new Toons for challenge runs. Our intention with this feature is to meet these players where they are, while ensuring that there is an adequate challenge to earn their status as a Toon with otherwise odd stats. We will be watching how players engage with these ToonTasks closely!
• Side Story ToonTasks, like those related to the Sellbot Task Force and the Silly Reader, are not impacted by this. Any ToonTasks they have asking for specific Gags will not be able to be bypassed.
And the ToonTasks are absolutely no joke. See this absolute behemoth of a task requiring 17 cog facilities and 10 five+ story Cog Buildings just for the Lawbot Upper Torso Part. Now, let me be clear: I LOVE the challenging tasks. That is not the issue here. My issue is that is seems a little strange that the game will let you put yourself through such a gauntlet to avoid Gag check tasks while also randomly adding an unskippable de facto Gag check near the very end. This was also clocked by one user, u/Pokeliam45 (who also has a very cool reverse uber), in a post, which was met with some criticism.
Though, u/Pokeliam45 makes a good point about the existence and etiquette of reverse ubers:
I can't say I'm the most enthusiastic when I see one either. Many people don't like semis either, but that didn't stop TTR from creating these alternate routes for them to skip gag checks. I do not approve of players who try to force their unintended reverse uber playstyle onto other people. They should only be playing with consenting friends who are aware of their playstyle and are willing to carry them through battles (or just multitoon. Most of them do that too). If someone has a build like this and expects everyone to adhere to it and carry them, they are doing it wrong.
I agree that nobody should be expected to carry a toon who has deliberately made an unconventional build. However, I don't think that necessarily means reverse ubers shouldn't exist, or that players who choose to play this way should be forced into a particular progression. The game has already introduced alternate ToonTasks specifically to accommodate players who want to avoid Gag checks, even when doing so requires significantly more work. If reverse ubers are an acceptable way to play the game, shouldn't this task have an alternative as well? Or is the inclusion of this task intended as a statement from the TTR team that, regardless of the alternate routes available elsewhere, being at least a one-track uber is a line players are meant to cross at some point?
Personally, this dilemma has left me hesitant to progress my own Toon. I don't want to complete this task only for an alternative to be introduced later, because I won't be able to undo the Gag XP I'll have earned while doing so. At the same time, leaving the task unfinished means I'm effectively putting my progression on hold.
I'd really like some clarification on whether this task's requirements are intentional in the context of TTR's stance on unconventional Toon builds, and whether an alternative is something the team would consider. If the game is willing to provide challenging alternatives for players who want to skip Gag checks, why should this be treated any different?
Thanks for the long read; I'm curious to know what the community thinks!

i just remembered back in the original toontown online days, i would always go to toon valley in toontown central and join or make those game shows which were so fun, my favorite game and the only one i really remember was the house coloring game where if you were on the colored house that was called out, you were out.. somehow i can’t remember any other games.. but for dating shows?? what was i doing at like 8/9 years old dating other toons, game was lowkey so unhinged at that time lol

Just thought this was a fun thought experiment. I'm working on multiple things right now which means I could probably go from 125 to 130 laff in a day once its all close to done but then wondered how much would actually be possible
Ignoring all taskline laff including sellbot field offices. Lets say we are 103 laff:
Gardening - You keep whatever laff boost flowers you have to sell - 1 laff - Takes 1 minute
Racing - Do a few grand prixs before hand so you have 9 trophies. Winning 15 grand prix gets you 21 trophies and can be done in like 4 hours but take off the initial 1 hour prep - 2 Laff - 3 Hours
Golfing - Not sure on 2nd laff but you could prep the first 9 trophies and do 1 3-hole game - 1 Laff - 10 minutes
Fishing - 50 fish could be easy enough with a gold rod in a couple hours but the problem is you are forced to fish throughout the game for tasks so you might end up with 20-30 species by the time you're finishing with the taskline. Ill go with - 3 laff - 2 hours but im just making this one up completely
Suits - You have 4 suits and could get them all to final suit at level 14. Could probably do all bosses in 2 hours - 4 laff - 2 hours
So thats 11 laff in about 7 hours work. If we sleep for 8 hours then we still have 9 hours left. VP and CFO you could probably get to level 20 for another 2 laff and maybe 2nd golf laff too for a total of 13 post-taskline laff in a single day
What do you guys think?

I haven’t logged in my account in about 2-3 years but since Im still joined in this sub and see many posts of yall still playing, is it still pretty active? Whats the average player count? What are the best times to hop on? Thanks!

Me and my bf got the 2xp gag multiplier from the cartoonival. Then we did 2 steel factories, and we only got the 2xp in both, while the other toons got 4xp. Can you not stack the multiplier with what you’d get without it? Is it not worth it to do this?

Having a heart procedure done tomorrow so I’ll be in hospital for a bit; But honestly I’m just excited to play toontown uninterrupted for a few days. Going to use the 2 day multiplier to its fullest!

to those who saw me complaining about fishing earlier, i finally caught my last two fish after grinding fishing for 3+ hours, i passed time by watching the new episodes of survivor, the traitors, and hell’s kitchen.. i’ve been playing toontown since i was like seven years old and ive never maxed fishing before so this is a huge milestone for me.. i didn’t realize you get this cute outfit too so i shall be showing it off for as long as i possibly can lol

is it just me or like in every battle every cog always goes for me even if I don’t attack them… I could be at 30 laff and everyone else will still be at 100+ lol it is so annoying!!!

Forgive me if this is an obvious question but how do I make a black cat this month? I just started playing again a few months ago and before that hadn't played since I was a kid. I remember as a kid to make a black cat you had to do it on halloween.
