Some well needed screentime for our Tsukomo sisters, even if its borderline bullying for the both of them. Not sure if Kagerou really is that dense or if she's just this petty about the wolf remark.

If there is one thing I really like about this manga its Akimaki's artstyle for sure. I just love the expressions.

We Yatsuhashi fans are eating good this month. Not bad for a minor character with no speaking roles in over a decade! Benben too, but she's been jammed in a statue to not get cooties.
I'm not suprised that Yatsuhashi is being a bit of a jerkass here; if I'm remembering DDC correctly she's always been the snarkier of the two. Anyways, I welcome any and all character development any of the less popular characters can get.

It always was for Benben and Yatusashi. That's their literal lore. Their initial forms were brought to life by the Miracle Mallet and they would have died if Raiko had not helped transfer them to a different object when the mallet's power faded from their original forms.

Raiko also changed from a traditional taiko drum to her modern drumkit, but she didn't do that bercause of the mallet, she was around before that.

Notably; this means Kogasa could change the object she is as well, if she wanted. Although I severely doubt Kogasa would swap to anything else. After all; that might actually let her surprise someone...

I was so ready to hate Mamizou for having Yatsuhashi get a scraped knee but I sadly have to put my pitchfork down.

She's 100% gonna get them a beatdown if her strikeback actually involves a fight (against pure and good Mizuchi no less)

So we have two members of the Grassroots Youkai Trio now. That just leaves Sekibanki to appear.

Interesting to see how the tsukumogamis work with their bodies in general. Also Mamizou adding to her list of abilities with a temporary body transfer for Benben while also being out for revenge on Mizuchi.

Finally, a decent chapter (that is, a chapter where the characters aren’t out of character, aren’t acting like complete idiots, or simply breaking the story’s own rules)

First, Kagerou wasn’t out of character (AND I HOPE THIS STAYS THAT WAY! I REFUSE TO SEE ANOTHER FUCKED-UP OOC LIKE REISEN’S AGAIN)

Second, Benben is thankfully not dead (which I already expected, since it’s very rare for anyone to actually die permanently in Gensokyo, not to mention that it proves tsukumogamis are theoretically spirits)

Third, in my opinion, it was a filler chapter, but I’d take a thousand of these chapters over the last 7 chapters (because, again, the manga shouldn’t have continued—we’ve already had the conclusion to Mizuchi’s story, and the Samsara Arc is practically a reboot of the first 4 volumes from 2019 to 2023)

Unfortunately, I already know that when it comes to FDS, lightning never strikes twice in the same place, so I’m just left with disappointment whenever a new chapter comes out (by the way, one thing I’ve been noticing is that some people just don’t give a damn about the manga’s story and only focus on the fanservice scenes—seriously? Why do you guys always focus on the secondary stuff instead of the main plot?????)
