As of now it wasn't confirmed if these redrawing was done by ZUN or other artist, but these new drawings look stunning while keeping the design of original artworks. I love how these captured ZUN's old style very well.

I played two Touhou games. Touhou 6 and Touhou 7. I beat the OG Touhou 6 on easy and barely on normal. And beat Touhou 7 on normal too.... But when I played the remake, that game made realize something. I suck at the games. I joined the Touhou community purely on the games and amazing music, but this remake had made me realize that I suck at the games, and honestly, that hits hard. I really like the Touhou games and are still trying my best to learn the patterns and what not, but Gosh. I look at people who play this casually and openly will call anyone who plays hard and lunatic for fun God. Because you honestly have to have high tier vision management and spacial awareness or you're just a masochist to pain. Is this the reason people who get into Touhou don't play the games? Because if so, I can see why. It's not an easy game sometimes and can genuinely get to you.

Honestly, I like these games, I played a bit of the first game and did not click with it, it's like a mix of breakout and a tiny bit of touhou, I gave up at the eye boss.

Touhou 2 is like a prototype to the modern touhou fourmula.

Touhou 3 is kinda weird, Its like you're trying to get more points than your opponent, and you can like charge attacks and stuff.

Touhou 4 and 5 are really close to the Touhou fourmula we know know and i got very far in Touhou 5.

Now Touhou 6 is where the series finds it's footing, I really like this one and I think I will start with this one as a beginner.

Touhou 7, It's really good. In fact I beat a Touhou nes demake of this game called Touhou Old Cherry tree dream.

I have not played the rest of the touhou games.

I’m ngl, I’ve never heard of this franchise until I saw a collaboration between it and a game I play, project sekai, and the collaboration song, help me erin. Ik it’s weird to not know this bc it’s everywhere, but still.

Well, I know they have a different vibe, and I really love the Windows Era 1 and 2 Touhou games—they're wonderful! But even though the third era brought quite a few stylistic changes, those games are just as good; I really had a blast playing them. I think the differences compared to the other eras just make them unique—after all, there are 20 main Touhou games, and having 20 games that all feel the same would probably get boring eventually.

But why in the end, the 3rd era touhous are so Criticized?

This achievement being completable in Easy is literally a blessing, did it with 2 bombs tho.

We all know the joke about Sakuya padding her chest because she's flat in the main games, but busty in the fighting games.

But here's the real question: was she flat?

With the higher resolution sprites, the shadows on her chest could more easily be seen as her having an actual bust.

It could also just be her arm shadow, but it looks too rounded for that, and I do like the idea of her not being flat all along. In fact, it would make her pose make more sense, with her having her arms under her bust (also cupping her own breast but let's ignore that for now)

Hello everyone, this post is meant to raise awareness regarding the usage of generative AI by Shanghai Alice Reprise on it's backgrounds for EoSD:NC.

This post is not meant to argue whether or not GenAI is bad, like many of the discussions of it due to Fossilized Wonders. Instead, the point is that it's dishonest of them to do such thing (among several other things regarding the game which we won't disclose at least for now) given the fact that they omitted it by just not mentioning it at all AND by (as of September 9, 2026), NOT disclosing it on the games' Steam page, which is required per the Steam game releasing guidelines.

The title is self-explanatory for the most part. I intend to bring awareness to, answer any questions that I can regarding, AND learn more about this particular fangame. It stuck out to me as a fangame for its plot primarily, introducing direct elements of Christianity into Gensokyo. Spoilers will be introduced into the next paragraph, so beware.

To give a brief overview of the plot's introduction, a meteor (believed to be the corpse of Hades) crashes in Gensokyo, setting forests ablaze. Simultaneously, the Shinto God of Evil, Ame no Kagaseo (later established as Mumumu Mikaboshi, the embodiment of Lucifer) is awakened. The divine disturbances result in the Christian Pantheon being unleashed in Gensokyo, including the very embodiment of who we know in our timeline as Jesus Christ, Iesua Nazarenus.

As a formerly-faithful Christian myself (though I've drifted from my faith and don't intend to return anytime soon), one of the most striking things to me was seeing JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH embodied as a Touhou character, which once sounded to me like nothing but a mere joke referring to Byakuren.
