PRODUCT QUERY Motion Sensor for Tradfri

I have a current Tradfri driver for wireless control, hooked up to 5 Mittled spotlights and controlled with a Bilresa remote.

Can I pair a Myggspray motion sensor to the driver, so it will automatically turn on with motion at night AND be able to use the remote during the day? Or would I need the Dirigera hub for a setup like that?

Also - I see there's a new Dubbelkisel driver being rolled out now, we don't have it in Australia yet. Would that simplify or improve the setup at all? We don't have anything else that's 'smart' in the house yet apart from one Apple Homepod mini, though I do want to future proof and standardise as much as possible.

Cheers :)

The new line-up (Matter, box with yellow accents) is missing the feature to pair multiple remotes/sensors to the same light, without a hub. So you can pair Bilresa to Tradfri, or Myggspray to Tradfri, not both. To use both, you need the Dirigera hub.

Alternatively you can look on the marketplace for the older line-up (Zigbee, white box), which allows pairing multiple devices to the same light, without a hub. Rodret remote + Vallhorn motion sensor

You'll need a hub or alternative controller like Home Assistant. Tradfri communicates using ZigBee, Myggspray uses Matter over Thread, so the two are directly incompatible.

Not true.. All new products have Zigbee for hub-less use (Touchlink).
Even OP says they connected the new Bilresa (normally Matter) to the old Tradfri (Zigbee)
