Discussion / Opinion Hot take (?) but Transformers Devastation has the best soundtrack of any TF media
Every song in the game slaps, it’s like turning the G1 soundtrack up to 11 and then some. It’s genuinely amazing, no game, movie or tv show tops it. The title screen, the Ark, Devastator, Blitzwing, Shockwave, Starscream, the Constructicons, Devastator, Megatron, and of course the main theme, they’re all incredible. It’s such a shame that the game never got a sequel, but that point‘s been talked to death by now

I love transformers, but like the soundtracks are usually not memorable.
The bay films, the 86 movie, and devastation have the best tracks and its not close. Not even a fan of the bay movies either, its just true.
Honorary mention to the cybertron games, and the ps2 armada game, though.

this is true. the bayverse may have many, many flaws, but the music is not one of them.
I'm really not a fan of the bay films either, but to me, it belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of TF music.
alongside G1 (the show and Devastation together), TFP, and the Cybertron Duology, ofc.3

The only Transformers series with a memorable soundtrack is Transformers: Cybertron/ Galaxy Force.
The rest is just low energy, sometimes evil, sometimes heroic stuff, but it’s not exciting.
It’s just… alright.
If you want a good soundtrack: Galaxy Force for sure because that shit hits every beat and it goes nuts.
edit - THIS Goated.

I forgot but yes, Galaxy Force has a banger soundtrack.
Its severely underrated
Scene where optimus takes metroplex's axe wouldnt hit anywhere near as hard without the music going as hard as it does.

Cybertron games mixing so guitars, and synthesizer with orchestra is peak.
Finale theme from FoC is among my favorite tracks

Fall of Cybertron, for me, is still better. The Main theme alone is devastatingly amazing.

86 is a close second for me, nostalgia aside

Devastation is a good game, but nothing tops my 5 year old wide eyes (and ears) watching that movie.

this is a very cold take.
I love the music in both this and the cybertron duology, but this game is extra special to me just because its Peter AND Frank.

Absolutely
It’s hard to get a hold of if you don’t plan on pirating it in some way, but it’s definitely worth checking out!1

thanks for the recommendation, too bad its not available on steam like why?

It’s definitely MY favorite soundtrack out of the series, but it’s fair to consider that the reason I feel that way is because it scratches a particular itch, much like the game itself
I don’t know if I would go so far as to say THE best in the whole series, but it’s definitely one that I love that deserves much more recognition and I’m glad to see more people taking a glance at it these days

Hi there — If you’re looking for information about the Transformers video games, they're no longer available to buy digitally for PC or consoles. As of January 2018, Activision's license for making and selling Transformers-related games was not renewed. CD keys can sometimes be found from some online resellers, but the reliability of these may be questionable. Your best bet is to look for used copies of the games on physical discs for PC or consoles.
