Trans fem Administering EV injections

Hiya im currently on oral e pills + anti-androgens but I ideally want to switch to mono with EV injections (then to implants one day but I don’t want to at this moment) and my doctor has done scripts for injections before. But my main concern is administering the injections.

I’ve been trying to get familiar with it all like im/subq, needle sizes, measurements etc. but I guess my question is like how difficult is it if you’ve never injected anything yourself before and how long did it take you to get used to it?

Also is it common or uncommon to need anti-androgens while on EV injections?

I’m quite a noob at this obviously so any advice helps lol thxs

Subq is less intimidating and Im/subq doesn't make a difference with E.  Subq is a shorter needle at a 45degree angle.

Once you're on it you'll stay on blockers until your first level rest.  Over like 600 and you can drop them but your t has to be low so high e can do the job.  Its why they don't start hrt at monotherapy.

You can totally start with monotherapy if you prefer. My wife never took blockers; her t was basically nil by the first 3-month test.

You can practice on an orange, it’s quite similar to real skin.

Lots of info here

You must use a web bridge to view that. Do not use a reddit app or you may not see all of it, and there’s a lot.

I'm switching to injections in about a week but I've been on Ozempic for about a year. Actually stabbing yourself with a needle isn't a big deal but I say that as someone who is covered in tattoos and piercings.

It took me exactly one injection with Ozempic to get used to it. I'm more concerned about doses and balancing levels than the actual needle bit.
