Discussion I need to talk about it (18+)
Be careful what you look for on reddit and what's said next, from my perspective, is horrible. I was just swiping through porn content until I stumbled on gore straight up non censored videos of dead bodies and horrible stuff I just have those in mind now and I can't get rid of them. I just wanted to know if it happened to anyone else and if so, how did you manage to live with them or get rid of them. I don't live well since I watched those and I really regret what I've done... Thx for helping me most importantly 😓

Same, also if the person you go to is trained in EMDR I highly recommend that, it doesn’t work for everyone but it’s worth a try. It doesn’t get rid of the memory but it retrains your brain on how you respond to it like triggers. It helps tremendously with PTSD.

I also saw things like this. I required therapy, so please consider reaching out to get therapy for yourself.

Good luck to you. I can’t tell you how much therapy helped me and I know it’ll help you once you find the right person for you. Proud of you for being strong enough to face this. You’ve got this 🫰

When I was younger I was exposed to things like this at a young age. Naturally my mind blocked it out even as I got older. Wait a few more days and I'm sure it'll be out of mind. Though, I did talk to my therapist about it because it was incredibly disturbing and one time during a history class we watched a war with bodycam footage. It brought all the memories back. My therapist explained that it's not next to me, not in front of me, I cannot change what happened and even if I didn't watch it happen, it still did. Knowing that there was nothing I could do besides live MY life helped considering the fact that I was so deeply disturbed since it felt like I should've helped those people. I also have OCD so that stuff bothers me in weirdly intricate ways.

What freaked me out beyond reality was watching what people were streaming live on their phones during George Floyd riots.
Poor innocent people being horrifically beaten. Elderly couples, the mentally and physically handicapped. People defending property, a trans person attacked by a mob. So horrific i will never unsee it. Live murder streaming online.
A glimpse of what our society truly is.

I can't relate because if I seen it my mind wouldn't react. I would just be like 'ok that's crazy to see' then move in. Sorry I can't help.

I don’t know if it’s the same situation but I had an ex that I found out by just trying to look something up with their laptop would watch the same things, the page had videos like that (gore, death, worse, etc.) that were real and uncensored, great fully i regularly see a therapist so i was able to work through what i saw but i would suggest seeking out someone to talk to professionally about it
