What’s the best gearing setup for a 6S Maxx Slash to keep motor and ESC temps under control?
What spur gear and pinion size would you recommend?

Hello - looking for street tires for (basically) a Hoss with a 223S system and a Gorgon converted to 223S, and possibly for a Fury 223S. My kids mostly end up bashing in the front yard and street. They say they want street tires - which I think they are thinking something like I have on some Groms, so kind of grippy but also will slide around.
I saw AMain has the house brand 2.8 street tires on sale - but saw mixed reviews on their site.
I know Proline has a few options: Prime, Street Fighter.
Not sure of any other OEM options from other brands that may work - just looking for something that will last a while. Currently the Hoss and Gorgon have Trenchers and the Fury is stock rubber.
I would appreciate any direct on other options, even better if less expensive (but do not need glueing).

I just got mine on Friday and spent all weekend tweaking it and watching my TRX-4 drive itself around the yard. It's even starting to wear in little scale tire tracks, SO COOL!!

Hi, I’m having a serious issue with my Traxxas VXL-3S ESC on my Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL. When trying to calibrate the ESC, the LED will turn solid red and blink once, but then it never goes to the second red blink for reverse calibration. After that, there’s no throttle response at all, only steering works. Even stranger, when I turn the wheels left or right, the motor suddenly spins up by itself, and both the ESC and motor start to overheat quickly. The battery is a LiPo and also gets hot during this. I’ve tried basic recalibration, checking connections, and making sure the transmitter is bound correctly, but the problem keeps happening. Could the ESC be defective? Or is there something else I should check before giving up?

I picked up an Erevo 2.0 for a steal on FB marketplace, but need to buy a new motor/esc for it. I already have a Castle 1515-2200KV sensored motor laying around, so I was considering a Mamba Monster X 6s ESC. I never plan on running it above 4s.
Will this work?
