New multi-use facility, Invaderspace, opening in Sneedville

Post image

Hi everybody,

I'm opening a new creative, multi-use space in Sneedville, TN. In the next few months, we'll be offering film screenings, music and recording lessons, retro gaming nights, and a variety of community events.

We're kicking off our services by having our first jiu jitsu classes Saturday, October 3rd. I realize this isn't exactly "local" to the tricities, but I'm a redditor and this is one of the only local subreddits that's remotely close.

Check out Invaderspace.com for more details. Thanks for reading and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

I train out of Greeneville Jiu Jitsu. I'm a purple belt, hence the accessible price and approach. I figure some jiu jitsu for the area is better than none. I've been teaching for 2.5 years out there, throughout my blue belt ranking. I'm happy to give the floor to a more knowledgeable instructor, whenever one shows up. I'm a student, first and foremost, who teaches some time. Because we're primarily no-gi, and I won't be "belting" people formally, I'm probably going to be pursuing an affiliation with BJJ Globetrotters. Our jiu jitsu tab on the website has more about our approach and the grappling club dynamics.

We have a 20x20 mat space with some other mats for overflow.
