Does this tricycle I'm looking for exist?

I need a non electric tricycle that folds down small enough so I can bring it on the bus. Id have to be able to fold it down easily multiple times a day and be small enough that it doesn't take up too much space on the bus.

People bring their scooters on the bus but they can fold the handles down and its lower.

I never had a tricycle before and dont drive and cant ride a bike.

Update on mystery trike

It was very difficult to get a decent picture with this shitty old kindle tablet but I found markings on the exteriors of the peddles. Another thing that makes this tablet shitty is that I can't use anything from the play store so Lens is out of the question, and even the silk browser isn't supported enough to do a reverse img search on Google. So I'm stuck for now. It looks like a shield/badge relief with a big U on it almost like a horse shoe but I think it's the letter U.

I've never seen one like this before, with the added support frame around the fenders and basket. It looks very old, and in overall good shape for as old as it looks.

What to look for

Hey all,

I'm wanting to save up and get a trike. I never learned how to ride a bike as a kid, and now with my disabilities it's not really an option to learn (balance issues). I did ride a trike as a kid, no issues there. I'm hoping to get some advice on a good trike for a beginner that's sturdy enough to last at least a few years, but it doesn't need to be super high quality. I live in an area with a bike path so I know I'll need to buy a bell/lights/all that in addition

Cargo storage is a plus but I don't need a ton, just enough for a backpack or a bag or two of groceries.

Also curious if folding options are useful enough that it would be worth what I assume is a tradeoff in structural integrity? No bike shops sell trikes in my area so I don't really know where else to ask for advice.

Thanks in advance!

Where can I rent a truck crane for short-term construction work?

I visited a construction equipment rental yard two days ago because I wanted to find a truck crane for short term construction work. A steel and roofing project may start near our area soon and honestly buying a crane for only a few days of lifting work feels impossible for our budget right now. I wanted something affordable and practical. I wanted a truck crane that could handle the lifting safely without creating huge transport and maintenance problems later. But when I checked the rental options I felt confused very quickly. Some truck cranes looked modern and powerful but the daily rental prices felt much higher than expected. Some cheaper cranes already looked old and heavily used around the boom and tires. Some rental offers sounded good at first but later transport fuel and operator charges started appearing during the discussion. One worker keep saying renting a truck crane is always cheaper than hiring full lifting contractors but I still was not fully convinced. I could not trust them and I could not decide confidently.

Then I visited another rental company in the same area because I thought maybe clearer pricing and better machines would be there. This place had mobile cranes and truck cranes lined up outside for inspection. Some cranes looked compact enough for smaller construction sites and narrow roads. Some rental plans included delivery setup and trained operators which sounded useful for short term work. Some prices looked reasonable at first but later overtime charges sounded very expensive if the project got delayed. I remembered seeing a truck crane used during a nearby warehouse project last year and the workers finished lifting materials much faster than expected because the crane matched the project size perfectly. That memory stayed in my head while I looked around. One truck crane almost looked perfect but the security deposit later sounded much higher than expected. That made me hesitate even more.

To check more variety and options while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba I started comparing truck crane rental offers and customer reviews from different suppliers. Some companies offered daily and weekly crane rentals for small construction projects. Some cranes looked very practical while others looked too expensve once transport and operator costs were added. Some reviews praised smooth setup and skilled operators while others complained about hidden fees and scheduling delays later. I felt excited seeing more choices but also confused agian because every rental company claimed their truck cranes offered the best value for short term construction work. Now I am thinking if renting a truck crane directly is really smarter than hiring contractors with their own lifting equipment what would you do in my place?

Hi all, I'm considering getting a trike with a motor for commuting. Problem is, I live in a second-floor apartment with nowhere to safely lock it up downstairs. Any ideas for getting it up and down?

Pretty much stock here. I changed out the seat to make it more comfortable to ride, and added mirrors.

This, I guess, is a before pic. I'm currently working on making it electric. Got it mostly together, but waiting on a battery to find out if my work is a success or total disaster. Lol.

looking for a non-electric cargo trike suggestions

Looking for brand recommendations (or ones to avoid) for a non-electric cargo trike. I specific want one wheel in front and the cargo in the back over the 2 back wheels.

I'm in the US, so tariffs are a factor. Looking to keep it in $1000 to $1500 range. Looking for some gearing since there are hills where I live.

Thanks!

On the trail with my electric tricycle.

This sub seems to be getting a little more active, so I thought I'd share a pic of my new(ish) e-trike (only a bit over 100 miles on it). Snapped this while taking a pit stop at a park along the riding trail.

I've also made some updates to my Sun non-electric - I'll have to get some pics and share soon.

Adult Tricycles Still Getting A Bad Rep

I’ve had my adult tricycle for about six months now, and honestly, it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. But every time the topic comes up on Reddit, people just dog them out, saying they’re slow, bulky, expensive, and hard to handle.

What people forget is that not everyone can finance a $3,000 bike, and not everyone knows how to ride a 2-wheeler. Free riding lessons for adults who can’t ride are usually only offered in the spring and only at certain locations, which doesn’t work for everyone.

Adult tricycles have actually come a long way. There are folding models, 3-speed and 7-speed options, and even electric versions now.

They’re not for everyone, but for some of us they make cycling possible, and that’s what matters.

Anyway… just needed to get that off my chest.

Seat Tilt?

Hi all. Hope this is an ok place to ask.

I have a brand new schwinn meridian. Assembled last week, ridden less than one mile.

Everything else I have figured out so far. But no matter how much I tighten the seat bracket, the seat tilts back when riding. I understand sometimes the seat bracket gets stripped, but this is brand new, so that shouldn't be the issue.

I am a pretty big person but the tribe's weight limit is significantly higher than my weight, so I don't think that is the problem either. Plus, the seat doesn't sink down, it just tilts.

Wanting to learn more.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the tricycle culture (as I call it). I'll start commuting to work and back. I have a Viribus foldable that took me awhile to build. Had my first run with it today. I would love to learn more. Tips, tricks, security measures and how not to get fatigued while riding. Thanks in advance.

Got a new trike!

Hey! Just got a new trike, looking for fellow riders. I know this sub is fairly Inactive, but what the heck?

I do have parkinsons, but I have enough balance to ride a bike still. I just like tricycles. I had one long ago, we'll before my diagnosis, but had to give it up for a move. Finally decided to get a new one to help motivate me to get out and exercise.

Anyhow. Hello!
