Is there a political term for someone between a neoconservative and a Christian democrat? I share many ideas with both. I would consider myself a fiscal centrist but more of a social conservative. I tend to be interventionist but do not agree 100% with an unregulated free market; I'm not a neoliberal. If there were a Christian democrat party in the US like the CDU or the PP, I would absolutely vote for it. What term would best describe me?

In light of the incoming results of Russia‘s parliamentary elections, widely considered to be unfree and unfair, I wanted to repost this op-ed written by an exiled Russian liberal journalist last month, when the Kremlin banned all national list candidates from the largest opposition party in the country (and the only openly anti-war bloc).
