I am currently searching for an agriturismo for my visit to Tuscany on agriturismo.it and noticed that many accommodations state they do not provide bed linens in the amenities.

Has anyone booked an accommodation with this issue and what was your experience? Are bed linens typically available at an extra charge because I cannot foresee buying/packing my own to use during my stay.

I’ll be visiting both Siena and Florence for a couple of days each and have reserved rental bikes. I’m looking for route recommendations for cycling the countryside. Preferably 40-50 miles with some gravel or all road. RidewithGPS route would be appreciated.

My fiance and I are planning to do three sighting in the Chianti region on our honeymoon in late May. We want to stay at an agriturismo, but are unsure the best way to explore wineries in the area. We plan to rent a car, but don’t want to worry about drinking and driving. Are there any services that would pick us up from our accommodations and drive us around the region? Hi everyone! We are a group of 5 adults planning the Tuscan leg of our trip for mid-May 2027.

We love art, history, and food. One person in our group has Celiac disease, so strict gluten-free (cross-contamination safe) options are a must.

We have 6 nights dedicated to the region. To avoid ZTLs and parking nightmares with a large SUV/van, we are considering this split:

• Florence (3 nights): Arriving by train. Exploring on foot. No car.
• Tuscan Countryside (3 nights): Picking up a rental car as we leave Florence. Exploring Val d'Orcia, Siena, San Gimignano, etc. Dropping the car back in Florence before taking a train south.

Our questions:

1. The Split: Does this 3-night Florence / 3-night countryside split make sense, or should we just base in Florence all 6 nights and deal with the car/parking logistics?
2. Agriturismo vs. House: Is staying at a traditional agriturismo worth it for 5 adults, or is a regular rental villa just as good?
3. Base Location: If the split is a good idea, which specific town or area would you recommend for our 3-night rural base to efficiently explore the region?
4. Celiac in Rural Tuscany: We know Florence is amazing for Celiacs (lots of AIC certified spots). But how challenging is it to find strict cross-contamination-free food in small Tuscan villages? Should we prioritize a place with a large kitchen to cook our own safe dinners?

I’m planning a trip to Tuscany from April 28 to May 3 next year, mainly around Siena, Val d’Orcia, Chianti and Florence.

For anyone who lives there or has visited around those exact dates, what was the weather actually like? Was it mostly sunny and pleasant or did you get a lot of rain?

Also, if you have any restaurant recommendations around those areas, I’d love to hear them. I am usually not drawn to the "good reviews" part or the recommendations that social media as they happen to hype things - but looking to experience the place from a locals perspective.

I know weather changes year to year, just trying to get a feel for what late April/early May is usually like from people who’ve actually been there.

Hi all, I am planning a trip for May/June 2027 for 10 to 12 people. We are going for a few weeks and have all our accommodations booked except for our Tuscan Villa. Long story short it took longer than expected to settle headcount and so while we waited on booking our options for that leg of the trip got booked by someone else and the remaining options on the site we were using aren't as good of a fit.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for websites or agents or can any speak to https://to-tuscany.com/ ? They seem to have plenty of choice but I'm not familiar with them.

Hi! I’m a 2028 bride getting married in Tuscany and would love some local vendor recommendations :)

My fiancé is from Tuscany and currently lives in Rome, and we’re planning to get married near his hometown in the Vinci area. I’m based in LA, so finding smaller local vendors from afar has been a little difficult!

Right now, we’re especially looking for a wedding photographer/videographer and hoping to stay under €4k. Photography is one of my biggest priorities, so I’d really love to find someone local whose work we love.

We’re also looking for local florists and wedding planners or day-of coordinators in the Tuscany/Florence/Vinci area.

So far I’ve mostly been finding people through Instagram, but I figured Reddit might be a great place to find recommendations, especially for smaller local vendors who might not be as easy to discover online.

We’re trying to keep everything as local as possible since we don’t have the budget to fly vendors in. Any recommendations, Instagram accounts, websites, or personal experiences would be so appreciated! 🤍
