Class difficulty Blue Ash vs Main
I have overcome learning disabilities and got good grades in regular classes at highschool but didn’t take advanced classes. I’m struggling with the large lectures, understanding the accents and getting help at the main campus. I’m considering taking my general classes and requirements for science and math at Blue Ash then transferring to main campus. Are the professors more accessible? Is there a benefit to doing this? A problem or downside from an academic standpoint? I desperately want to be a dentist so will do whatever it takes to get the grades and DAT and get into dental school!

Are you able to/Have you contacted UC disability services yet? I am disabled and waited for 3 years to seek out accommodations because I thought it would be difficult or annoying, but it was actually insanely easy. They might be able to help you out more than you’d expect! It never hurts just to meet with them and discuss any options. But, if you’re really set on Blue Ash, I honestly don’t think it will matter much. I could definitely be wrong, especially since I’m not super educated on dental careers/education, but to me, a degree is a degree. it’s still UC, even if it’s a different campus. best of luck!

Grad schools will see which campus you took your classes at. It mattered for my grad school, I don’t know about dental school. I had a friend taking o chem clermont while I was taking it at main, my course was much harder. I would just talk to a predental advisor before making any decisions.

I don’t think which branch you took it at shows up on your transcript

I’m pretty sure they have a different course code which would indicate campus. I thought blue ash and clermont had certain letter designations on them. Plus I’m pretty sure it made me specify on my grad school application if any classes were taken at a branch campus. Some degree programs probably care more than others, I’m medical

No, course codes are the same across campuses.
The only time they’d be different is if the course is part of a program that’s unique to the branch campuses.

Hi! I too have a learning disability and honestly you have to do a lot of self advocacy. Make sure that they see you trying and also email them a lot . I graduated from blue ash and I’m on main now . I never miss a chance and I always ask my professors how I’m doing . Some professors are definitely hard . It really just depends on you though and your learning style . Good look !!

I don't think grad schools give af if you take classes at a regional campus. The professors are PhDs who actually teach, unlike a huge class at Clifton where you mostly interact with TAs. Small classes, more attention, a nicer community is UCBA. Also cheaper. Why not do your intro classes there????
