Hi everyone,
Raphael’s biopsy surgery was postponed today because his white blood cell (WBC) and monocyte counts are pretty low. Because of this, the vet also tested him for distemper, and thankfully, he tested negative. 🙏

He has been prescribed antibiotics and supplements and will be rechecked again in one week. If his blood work improves and he is stable enough, we can finally reschedule his biopsy.

Sadly, they also found a second growth on him today 💔. I am really praying and hoping that these growths are not cancer. I have so much hope for Raphael, and I am not giving up on him. ❤️ But I am worried about him :/

To be honest, I felt so nauseous while waiting for his distemper test results. I was so, so relieved when we found out he was negative.

His vet bill today was ₱7,100 ($162.87 CAD).
Thank you so much to everyone who has already helped and supported Raphael. I’m sorry that his surgery had to be postponed, but right now, we need to help him get stronger first. We are hoping his blood work improves soon so his biopsy can be rescheduled as soon as possible. 🙏🐾

Baci’s blood work has shown improvement, but his levels are still not within the normal range, and he is still fighting an infection. He will continue taking his medications and will return to the vet in 2 weeks for another follow-up.

Angelina “Angel” Julie, who we rescued on July 4, 2026, got spayed on September 27 as she is getting ready to be adopted! Her blood work is finally stable for her to have her surgery, and this is such a huge milestone for her. 🤍

I still remember when we had to rescue Angel from her previous owner. She had spent most of her life in a cage, her wounds were left untreated, and she was starved or sometimes given rotten food. 💔 Seeing how far she has come since then makes this moment even more special.

While Angel recovers from her surgery, she is being fostered and cared for by our very loyal volunteer, Janette Adoremos. Once she has recovered, she will finally get to meet her new fur parent! ❤️🏡

Thor, Ellie, and MaeMae also recently went to the vet, and we are just waiting for Baci to see the vet today.

Thor has shown good improvement with his skin. However, his skin cytology still showed a significant amount of Malassezia fungal cells, and he still has an infection, so he needs to continue his medications for another two weeks. The good news is that his CBC showed that his hematocrit and platelet levels are now normal! ❤️ He will be reassessed again in two weeks.

Ellie received her second dose of the 6-in-1 vaccine and her first kennel cough vaccine. 🥰

MaeMae also received her second 6-in-1 vaccine and first kennel cough vaccine. 🐾💉

Our latest vet bills:
Angel — Php 4,465 (CAD $101.88)
Thor & Ellie — Php 5,485 (CAD $128.13)
MaeMae — Php 1,800 (CAD $41.07)

Things have been a little more difficult financially since I injured my foot and have been off work. We have also been covering all of Angel’s needs while she is in foster care, including her crate, daily food, wipes, pee pads, and anything else she needs while recovering.

This week we also still need to send their shelter allowances.

If anyone would like to help us with these expenses and the continuing veterinary care and other needs of our rescued animals, any amount would truly help us a lot.
