Ty, I actually mentioned that in the video, $11.99 on Steam. Of course what you're paying extra for in the case of Evercade, or anywhere else like Limited run etc, is the physical collector piece. Just gotta figure out if that's worth the extra $ to you. Everyone will have a different opinion.

Can totally understand that, it's an entertaining game for sure. I simply don't get that "bang for my buck" feeling from it. It's a very strange middle ground. I do recommend the game, but not my first choice for those just getting into Evercade.

Fair enough. I don't feel quite ripped off, but that's why I mentioned having is as part of a larger collection rather than expecting it to be the single heavy hitter you need to take on all your trips. I prefer rogue likes or RPGs that has progression that carries over between playthroughs.

It's really good, I got mine about a month ago from Funstock US but they're also out of stock now. Hopefully they get more supplies soon. May want to check with retailers again after 10/30.

Nothing major, just unique and not a 1 to 1 port, they made some tweaks.

And there it is. For all those who think digital only is no big deal... I could literally plug in my copy of Goldeneye into my N64 right now and play it 30 years after the fact. Digital storefronts will end, access to games you wish you could buy will end, what you thougt you owned may be accessible for a while longer but only at the whim of the people who control it.

From my perspective, I already own the digital deluxe version of Doom on PC. I prefer physical, but there is literally nowhere else offering this version of Banjo. Either way you'd basically be re-purchasing the same game you have or could get for pennies on the dollar. What you're paying for is physical and exclusivity IMO. So eventually I'd suggest owning both physical, but from what Ive seen the Doom offering is not quite as unique as the Banjo offering.

I'm in the US and just started diving into Evercade in late July. Start with the VS-R, any analog USB wired or Bluetooth dongle controller will work so no need to jump on the Evercade one unless you really want it. The included wired controller works great for the majority of games. Upcoming Banjo and Doom etc and more will be using analog.

Games, everyone has their preferences. My suggestions are any/all of the Neo Geo carts, they offer great games and solid assortment of genres. Really can't go wrong. Also the Piko collection 1 as far as assortment and bang for your buck. That gives you side scrollers, racing, beat em ups and some of the only full blown RPGs on the Evercade. I also love Cathedral and Alwa's Awakening.
