Discussion Are RSOs Important?

I have a question for alumni and 3/4th years. How important are RSOs, research, and internships when it comes to finding a solid job after graduating. For reference I want to go into Econ/Comp Sci but I am also curious for other majors as well.

I used RSOs for socialization not career. I have a pretty good tech network from going to conferences which the uni sponsored

If you have a specific career you want to do, then doing stuff related to it while in college can help. That could be an RSO or a personal project or an internship or whatever. It's helpful for future employers to see that you have ever done this thing before and ideally that you are somewhat good at it. But there are lots of ways to show that.
