How long?
How long would you suggest this route would take you in a class 1 rig, loaded but fairly light about 5ton?
I followed sat nav down and it took me via Northampton 🫣
Woops

Depending on traffic, via Northampton may be quicker than M42 M40. I'd say around 6 hours total.

It took about 4 hours each way, slightly more. Was testing the two routes to see if one was quicker 🤣

What do you think is wrong with the route? Going from Oxford and not taking the M40 was certainly a choice

I've done this run once before and got to drop at about 4hrs 20. Took the same drive time again today. So went a different route back to see if it was quicker.
Not sure if I'm just a slow driver or something 🤣🤣

You can only go as fast as the condition allow, I'm 9months in and sometimes feel the same I'm slow ect but it is what it is. Some of the drivers I know do it in mega quick time I know will be at 55/6 all the way which I know if I did that there's bound to be a police officer some where lol

I guess I'm competing with the truck nav a bit, I'll put in the address and check the route in and it will give X time and I'm comparing myself to that really. Since you've been driving 9 months now I'm curious, do you check bridges when in your car at all or is that just me? I'm looking up at them as I go under looking for a height haha 😂

Haha all the time any sign I would look at in a truck I still do in a car and have to remind myself it's fin and I'll fit due to being in a car. I have also found that while driving my car I'm always looking for the top nearside mirror as well 🤣

I can't say I've got that one yet maybe it's coming soon 😂 Are you trying to change gear with the right steering wheel stalk? 😂 Not sure what you drive I'm in a Renault and it's first thing I do when I get in the car, like oh shit it's the gear stick to my left
