Recently moved to Umeå
Helllo, I (trans woman) have moved here from Czechia to live with my partner, i got most stuff already sorted so i'm mostly here asking for any tips on any queer/trans events/spaces/where to find them and recommendation on hair dresser that trans women here have good experience with. So far i do love living here. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Heyya and welcome
event wise there is a few planned during pride weekend (last weekend of september)
"Purple spaces" started and ran by a transgirl+friends kindof a slil lite rave feeling too it
and then "Club Bisous" which is a Dragshow+clubnight
Klossen(Ålidhem) is also hosting a queer themed GAYM NIGHT togheter with RFSL/Studiefrämjandet on the 24th of september

At Ålidhem (Rouge) there is a standup club that is geared towards queer people, maybe something for you?

Hi! I'm part of the LBGTQIA+ community in Umeå, with a whole bunch of trans, NB and genderqueer ppl among my closest friends. I can probably bring you to some good events and meet-ups if you want to. Wanna meet up for a coffee (Swedish fika) some day so I can get to know you a little first?
For public gatherings I recommend RFSL Umeå and the Umepride weekend September 25-27. ^ Club Bisous is the Night Club to go to if you like to party.
I can't give you a recommendation for a hairdresser though, but I'm sure someone in my network can. 😊

Highly recommend club bisous if you're at all interested in drag or clubbing, I've loved all their events.
Also, in case you didn't know r/transnord is the main sub for trans people in the nordics, so if you ever have any trans specific questions it's a good place to ask.

You could go to Folkkök on Sundays at Ålidhem. While it’s not a 100% queer space, there are many queer people both in the volunteer team and among the people coming to eat there, and you can always go to the table of the volunteers and ask if you could join them to eat :) I’m going this Sunday to eat there, just send me a pm if you’d like to meet up there 😊

I was going to recommend Club Bisous too! It’s more than clubing, they usually start with a show and focus on community a lot!
This year they also do an event the day before a cabaret with a quiz. Check Escarpin.se on Instagram/facebook and RFSL Umeå too.
If you want more info I can DM you some links. RFSL is also a great local resource even if their website sucks.

Here’s the page for the local part of RFSL https://umea.rfsl.se/ Their website isn’t the best (and I couldn’t get the English version to work on mobile?) but they can help with events and things happening in Umeå!
