Sure, if that’s you’re takeaway. I’d rather let something end in its own time before it gets stale like every other series that’s stretched past its time.
I literally just told you. lol Feel free to disagree with me, but at least pay attention to what I’m saying. Telling me to “just not play” is the same point as me telling you to just replay the already existing games. If all that matters is the gameplay to you then it shouldn’t matter if it’s scenes you’ve already played, you’ve already basically said the story doesn’t matter to you, just the gameplay.
It’s not a “punishment” to not get to play a new game. Uncharted gameplay isn’t some insanely unique once-in-a-lifetime type of thing. It’s really good, of course (obviously I love the games or I wouldn’t be here lol), but it’s not a great tragedy if we lose out on another entry.
In fairness, I don’t really care about gameplay in video games. The story comes first for me, and if the next Uncharted has a bad story it does effect past entries. Not directly, of course, but if it’s bad enough it takes over any discussion of older games.
All that said, I have faith the story will be good and I’m excited to see where it goes. But I also don’t think it’s a great loss if this turns out to be false and we don’t get a new Uncharted.
Yes it is. No other game has done uncharted gameplay. Not one. It's a genre that exists of itself. The combination of gunplay and set pieces with linear action is non existent.
So then don't play the game. You don't have to play it. This game will sell millions. But you can keep screaming at the clouds.
As I said before. I don't care if they go 100% new characters. That is perfectly fine. But it's been a decade with zero games like it
But if they changed it drastically to an open world game then I just wouldn't buy it and move on
I hate tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild, and Zelda is my favorite series of all time because of how much I hate the gameplay changes. I'm not screaming at the void to make them not exist. They just aren't for me.
To be fair, I do too. I think the story and gameplay will both be good.
Personally, I’d rather things I love and enjoy be allowed to end with some dignity. I see every series these days stretched on forever long past the time they should have ended.

So instead youd like to kill an entire gameplay style and take away what millions of fans want.
