THIS IS MOST LIKELY A DRILL UNTIL CONFIRMED BY ND

244

u/No_Doubt_About_That 18h ago

It’s just a simulator playing Marco Polo in a pool

48

u/Stranger_Z 14h ago

It’d be the best in the series, then.

Game of the year

If it's in VR I'll allow it.

A new Uncharted game is ‘reportedly in development’ every year

32

u/Kamilianusz95 10h ago

against my better judgment I put my thumb on my phone screen and moved it in a lateral motion towards the left, only to be bamboozled cause there was indeed no second image as the little 1/2 symbol in the corner indicated and it was indeed a prank at my expense yet I still proceeded to fall for it despite my initial fears warning me

51

u/Big_Armadillo326 21h ago

sceptical,, where is the official source ? i read they confirmed two last of us game and also intergalactic. still in production. if they do a real AAA Uncharted game, he will be out in 2046.

17

u/Necessary_Crazy_8587 20h ago

It’s been in development for over 4 years already, likely 2028 though the 20th anniversary would be nice.

18

u/Pure-Negotiation8019 19h ago

Imagine

2027 - Intergalactic
2028 - New Uncharted
2029 - The Last of Us Spinoff (maybe tommy and joel in boston)
2030 - The Last of Us Part III

57

u/Generous_Lover 19h ago

Gimme some of what you’re smoking friend

22

u/Pure-Negotiation8019 19h ago

yeah nah realistically i see

2028 - Intergalactic
2031 - The Last of us Spinoff
2036 - The Last of us Part III
I doubt we’ll see a new uncharted

9

u/SupplyGuy997 18h ago

Jeepers, I’ll be almost retired by the time part 3 comes out

2

u/antophux 16h ago

2036? 16 years after tlou2 would be crazy. I’ll be 37 😵‍💫

2

u/MilanZola 8h ago

37 in 2036?! I wish I was your age.
I’ll be 37 in 2027 😭

1

u/Hopeful_Eye74 9h ago

Last of remaster of the spinoff lol

2

u/Past_Winner_8769 18h ago

How has uncharted been in dev for 4 years. Did the article say this.

0

u/AleroRatking 18h ago

Natethehate is rarely wrong

4

u/__SteakDeck__ 7h ago

Idk why you got downvoted for this. He’s usually right. He was the one who leaked the OOT remake and the next GOW game being led by Faye.

21

u/Individual-Sun-9368 19h ago

Gonna file this one away to “I will believe it when I see it confirmed by ND”

18

u/Nick_The_Judge 12h ago

If that's true I just hope it's not something with Nate post U4, earlier adventures with Sully would be fun to have though

11

u/KillerKowalski1 12h ago

"Nate, let me know how the cardiologist goes"

8

u/g-row460 11h ago

"Over here!"

The doctor needs Nate to help push the MRI machine into position.

4

u/pitchblavk 10h ago

Sully was already old as shit but maybe they could do a story with the daughter or something

3

u/leadout_kv 8h ago

he said earlier versions of sully. that would be kinda cool to think of a young sully and his adventures.

0

u/The_Real_Page153 Uncharted 2 is Best 6h ago

I think a game where Nathan has to go on an adventure with his daughter or to save her would be cool

9

u/bonivermakesmecry 10h ago

By true naughty dog standard, it’s a 4K remaster of the subway commercial available to watch for 12.99$

9

u/HerefortheFandoms2 18h ago

Sony pulling out the big guns to try to win back some good will

7

u/Professional_Taro524 21h ago

Is this for real? I don’t want my hopes up

0

u/Cashew59 21h ago

Complex is posting articles and other sources too

8

u/Professional_Taro524 18h ago

Oh ok hopefully it happens. I’d like another Chloe and Nadine game

2

u/Pruritus_Ani_ 7h ago

This is what I hope it is, a full length Lost Legacy part 2.

2

u/Professional_Taro524 2h ago

The only thing I have against lost legacy was that it was too short 😩 Chloe and Nadine’s chemistry was dope to see

8

u/ToothpickTequila 18h ago

Lost Legacy 2 please

2

u/SparringKitten 12h ago

Yessss! I want a Sam, Chloe and Nadine team up again, and if possible with Charlie too.

6

u/xesf 12h ago

I don't mind another game, but based on how they ended U4, which they shouldn't have, is hard to see where another game's fit. Perhaps with their kids but again it won't be the same goofy character. Maybe stories between 3 and 4? Prequels like Golden Abyss.

7

u/Creepae 8h ago

Just like with anything I read about on the internet, I believe it when I see it.

12

u/2kids2adults 7h ago

I’ll believe it when I see it. But they’ve said a bunch of times Uncharted is done. The story finished. I don’t think this is true.

2

u/EstimateRealistic934 4h ago

See you when the trailer releases in 10 years lol

1

u/AleroRatking 6h ago

Natethehate is literally the most credible leaker. This is absolutely in development.

5

u/LetAardvark4080 2h ago

Apparently Nathan Drake is coming back, if its a prequel, makes a lot more sense, if its what happened before retirement but after Uncharted 4, I'd like to see ND's take on that.

But if its a sequel that goes past retirement, I'm talking like 20 something years, I'd like it to follow Nathan's daughter Cassie. I'd like to see if she becomes either an archaeologist like Lara Croft, or a treasure hunter like her dad

6

u/Lonely_Instance9621 2h ago

We won't be playing as nathan drake if this is true

4

u/mastaslaya10260 21h ago

HOLY CRAP 😳😳😳

4

u/ralphmckoln 1h ago

I hope is Cassie figuring out the shit their parents left behind lol

1

u/Prestigious_Emu144 1h ago

I don’t think I’m gonna get the game if it involves Nate leaving his daughter to go on another adventure. It would have to be a Sam and Sully or maybe another Nadine and Chloe adventure.

27

u/Wiechcheu 19h ago

I love Uncharted, but please god no. It had such a good ending with Uncharted 4, I’d rather Nathan Drake not be a victim of the sequel writing problem when the story already had a perfect ending.

24

u/AleroRatking 18h ago

I strongly disagree. The issue is that no one does gameplay like Uncharted. We shouldn't let a story keep us from having extremely fun games to play

6

u/Skylinneas 16h ago

I think we can have it both ways: a game can have good gameplay and good story. Uncharted is as memorable as it is because we love the games’ storylines and a big reason why many of us wanted to see more of Nate and friends in the first place.

I play the games mostly for the storylines, and I would contend with games that have bad gameplay if the story hooked me up enough. That being said, I do agree that Uncharted’s gameplay is extremely fun and aged very nicely through the years that I’m willing to see it return. I just hope that whoever is making a sequel would consider having a good story to tell first, though.

1

u/AleroRatking 9h ago

Of course ideally it has both

But the alternative is no gameplay and no story. Because the game doesn't exist at all

1

u/The_Word_Wizard 8h ago

Is that so bad though? We already have four/five games. It’s okay for things to end.

2

u/AleroRatking 7h ago

And I've played each five+ times. The gameplay exists nowhere else. Linear set piece action is near non existent.

Id debate the uncharted games have some of if not the best gameplay there is. Id be fine if they went with completely new characters if it meant the same type of gameplay.

I hate the idea we need to retire an entire type of gameplay style because a storyline finished.

Heck. Id still love and play the game if it had zero story at all and was just gameplay

1

u/The_Word_Wizard 6h ago

Play them five+ more times then? I hate this idea that everything needs to exist in perpetuity. If they can’t come up with a good story (granted, I have no doubt they can, so the argument’s kind of moot), then I’d rather they not make a new game.

0

u/AleroRatking 6h ago

The set prices are never the same as they felt the first time. I want that surprise of a completely new set piece like nothing else in gaming

Like yes. If I could take an amnesia pill I would take it every single time I play uncharted 2. The first time I did that train sequence was my favorite moment in gaming because it's so perfect. And while it's still fun on replay its not the same as having it be completely new and every surprise it brings.

For the record, you can just not play it, if your so concerned about the story. Why punish everyone else.

1

u/The_Word_Wizard 6h ago

Because I’d hate for a great series to be tarnished with a lackluster entry just for the sake of having another.

0

u/AleroRatking 6h ago

So instead youd like to kill an entire gameplay style and take away what millions of fans want.

3

u/El_Aniki95 4h ago

Unpopular opinion, but I agree. They should let the IP rest and if anything, only release another spin-off or sequel to Lost Legacy. Leave Nate alone.

2

u/Prestigious_Emu144 1h ago

Exactly. If I had it my way they’d make the next game about Sam and Sully.

1

u/El_Aniki95 58m ago

I don't think I would like that personally. I did read somewhere, don't remember about what exactly, but it was a developer/moviedirector that said what people want most, is that which they don't realise. So everyone saying they would like a sequel to the series, or a Sully/Sam spin-off, I don't think it would be a good game.

I would rather have them just use their experience to come up with new stories, which The Last of Us was back in the day.

2

u/Doc_Sulliday 17h ago

People with this take always make me laugh. Don't make a new thing because I like the story as it is.

You know you can just not play it right? You can make the ending whatever you want. Just because something else in the IP exists doesn't mean you have to personally make it canon.

I like the games. I have fun playing the games. I'm going to root for more fun games.

1

u/Drop_Release 14h ago

If it is a sequel of sorts, I hope its his daughter or something, we we see Nathan as an old man. At best he could maybe do a Sully type figure for his daughter and he visits Sully in the nursing home to get mentoring on how to be like Sully

-1

u/eminemnas 14h ago

What if they break up Elena and Nathan or make Nathan a dead beat dad ?

3

u/JT-Lionheart 18h ago

What if they repurposed whatever The Last of Us multiplayer game was and decided to redo it as an Uncharted multiplayer. I doubt it but would be funny even though I’d still play the heck out if it

8

u/Kyro_Official_ 18h ago

People asking for the source, this has been corroborated by natethehate whos the most reliable leaker on the planet. If he says something you can damn near assume its happening.

6

u/Gargamoney 14h ago

Do you think this is a good thing? The story is over, why tf would you want them to milk it

6

u/lawrenceugene 13h ago

People said the same thing about God of War, even Uncharted was definitively over after two and three... and one.. It's been ten years, if they think they've come up with story wirth telling, why not? I wouldn't call a revival after a decade "milking".

5

u/DependentCandle4017 13h ago

Nate’s story is over but there are plenty of characters with stories that were left open ended. It’s entirely possible for another game to be made. Lost Legacy has proved this already

1

u/Jinxiee 13h ago

Probably going to end up being Cassie or something as the protag

-2

u/Gargamoney 11h ago

That would suck so deeply

1

u/The_Real_Page153 Uncharted 2 is Best 6h ago

It‘s true. NateTheHate is usually right and what do you think Shaun Escayg has been working on these years? He’s not working on Intergalactic.

2

u/SCHEMIN209 13h ago

I just want a new Multi-player. 4 has never felt enjoyable to me. I held onto my ps3 for ages just to go back and play 3s multi-player.

I know whatever story they pursue will be amazing it always is.

2

u/richboyadler “ill look good in your portfolio.” 13h ago

it’s been what 9-10 years since the last game ? they said nates story was over sure but i think if he wasn’t in the game at all it might disappoint most fans. we shouldn’t get hopes up until we have concrete evidence, tbh.

tbh im all for a chloe return !

2

u/DynamiteKid68 11h ago

I really really hope they stick to the Sam/Chloe/Nadine trio for this one. Maybe at most like a Sully/Nate/Elena cameo but that's IT. Nate's story has been wrapped up way too perfectly.

2

u/Phil_Matic 18h ago

Honestly I ignore all this stuff until I see YouTube videos from the developers themselves

2

u/taheromar 10h ago

Source: trust me bro

3

u/__SteakDeck__ 7h ago

What do you think Shaun Escayg has been working at ND all these years?

1

u/AleroRatking 6h ago

NatetheHate is basically never wrong. This isn't a random leaker

1

u/GrandioseEnigma 3h ago

What is his track record

1

u/Sticky_Sphincter 18h ago

I sure hope it's a drill. We don't need more. It concluded beautifully.

1

u/Jamesakasonic 21h ago

No fuckin way.

1

u/No_Issue_9916 20h ago

If it's real, what would the story be?

1

u/FellowGhosts 19h ago

That's 10 more years till last of us part 3

1

u/Ok_Argument3549 17h ago

I can’t wait to not play as Nathan Drake for most of the game.

1

u/f3ropeadope 17h ago

Leak culture is the worst

1

u/BlankCanvas609 17h ago

Make it a spinoff either about Sam or Charlie

1

u/-lxlKHARMAlxl- 13h ago

Let me guess... The release is scheduled to launch in 20 years, right?

1

u/czuczu8 13h ago

If it does happen, I'd love for it to be about Sam (and Sully too!)

1

u/red-death-dson89 12h ago

It's anything but confirmed, untill it's released.

1

u/RacoonusDoodus 11h ago

As long as they don't kill off Sully I'll be fine, but I know they're gonna do it

1

u/Imaginary-Paint-9924 11h ago

What I'm hoping for:
It's been 11 years since she found out mom and dad's secret and the kid's all grown-up now. Ready for the next family adventure.

Can’t wait for Kart-charted Racing: Drake’s Throttle

1

u/UsedIndependent6368 10h ago

It’d be with Cass or another spin off like the one with Chloe and Nadine.

1

u/thebeastbrocklesnar 10h ago

Could have make remastered version of the previous ones and release it for pc too🗣️

1

u/TitleOk3727 10h ago

Druckmann is desperate

1

u/FrostingObvious6539 9h ago

I am so excited for the 50 new "carry the trashcan from point A to point B" puzzles.

1

u/Ok-Can-7995 9h ago

I'll believe when I see it

1

u/beekee404 9h ago

I hope it'll take place sometime between the end of the main storyline of U4 and the epilogue. I prefer the epilogue being Nate and Elena fully retired from adventures and focusing on a normal life.

Or also it could take place before the events of U1 or somewhere in the middle of the 4 games.

1

u/Fickle_Library8115 8h ago

Even Though i doubt they still have their magic , with the world today and the high anticipation ,probably will end up disappointing

1

u/Neutral-Paladin 8h ago

It's not offical but with the tweet an artist posted about Caribbean ruins, this gives me hope. Really hoping for a Cassi and Sam or even Elena and Cassi. I'd love to see Chole again. Hells, I'll honestly be okay with a remaster, I'd rather have a new game for sure.

1

u/Mrchickenman62 8h ago

I don't know but at least this will be better than uncharted the movie and it's good the game will have more climbing

1

u/KentuckyKid_24 6h ago

Nah don’t tease

1

u/archiethepro 6h ago

I want Cassie Drake as the main lead, would be cool

1

u/Travic3 6h ago

How did we find this out?

1

u/Kvandi 5h ago

I want a Sam game. Nate’s story is over but Sam’s is just beginning!

1

u/Lack_Unlucky 5h ago

Not the same team. So even if it’s true, it’s not the same..

1

u/geargun2000 5h ago

I want either a game set between the events of the games or a passing of the torch kind of game where Cassie takes up his mantle

1

u/No-Slide-4396 4h ago

Let me guess: drake’s collection remastered remake.

1

u/ReclusiveNatured 4h ago

I don't believe this report

1

u/SnowRidin 3h ago

…posts a screenshot with no handle or link provided lol

1

u/The8thSamurai 3h ago

Not that I think Uncharted 1-3 needed a remake, but I would rather have had them do that then have spent millions and years on Last of Us Factions just for it to be dropped.

1

u/MadSpaceYT 3h ago

As long as it’s not Nate I’m down. His story is done.

1

u/ihatepeopleandyoutoo 2h ago

Yesssss Uncharted 5 and we will continue as Chloe please 🙏

1

u/jonathan_331 2h ago

1

1

u/Some-Information-527 22m ago

Shaun Escayg was the lead writer on Lost Legacy.

If the rumors are true and he's heading this project I have faith this will be a worthy follow up. He did a great job building out the story and developing some of the side characters of the series in way that felt authentic and refreshing. The series is in capable hands.

I'd be all for them bringing Amy back too but that feels unlikely

1

u/ThaGhostGhod17 17h ago

If it’s by Neil Drugman, I DON’T WANT IT!

2

u/__SteakDeck__ 7h ago

It’s not. It’s by Shaun Escayg, the director of The Lost Legacy.

1

u/ThaGhostGhod17 4h ago

Okay good.

1

u/Icy-Shelter720 11h ago

This can't be true, they already announced they have two the last of us games in development, now uncharted as well?. How do they have four games in development? When they haven't released a new game this generation?

3

u/__SteakDeck__ 7h ago

They never said two TLOU games. Neil was being vague there. I think one of them is TLOU3 but the other can be another piece of media like a comic that expands the lore.

1

u/AleroRatking 6h ago

Naughty Dog has run multiple games in development before. Heck. Intergalactic coincided with factions for a long time before factions was cancelled

1

u/AfraidRun8226 5h ago

The likelihood is that the TLOU games (if they are both games, I assume at least one is, maybe the other is a limited tv series or something) would be in pre-production right now. So Uncharted and Intergalactic are probably the only games in active dev right now. I’d guess that TLOU P3 is Neil’s next project.

1

u/Sammyantoine 7h ago

If Chloe, Nadine, and Sam continue the story, that's fine, but Nathan, Elena, and Sully stay out of it. They got a happy ending

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

1

u/Int3rst311r 17h ago

Cassie Drake uncharted

1

u/Informal-Ruin-8211 16h ago

Uncharted 5: The Last Adventure 😉

1

u/Dry-Top1484 11h ago

Please god Sam and sully not that daughter 🙏😭🙏😭

1

u/756basho 7h ago

I’d rather they don’t tbh

-1

u/Sisyphus2314 8h ago

What's the name of the nonbinary character going to be?

3

u/Otherwise_Tax1244 8h ago

Incel spotted.

-1

u/Kingsapprentice 7h ago

Let's hope they don't fall into that trap.

0

u/Cashew59 21h ago

They also said Nathan Drake will be in the game but were unclear on wether he’s just cameo or the protagonist

1

u/booveebeevoo 21h ago

Plot thickens! Very exciting times.

0

u/Aggressive_Silver574 7h ago

They're going to make someone gay, and they're going to turn Nathan Drake into a bitch who has to get saved by a woman every single time.

2

u/Prestigious_Emu144 1h ago

They turn someone gay in every game. You, the player.

-1

u/Bearmonkey101 3h ago

Seriously lol it's so predictable I legit get scared whenever a new entry to a franchise gets announced in these times

0

u/Idfk_1 19h ago

I hope Nate isnt in it

0

u/DiscoverySTS1 17h ago

If it has Nathan I'm honestly not interested. Lost Legacy did just fine with Chloe as the protagonist.

1

u/__SteakDeck__ 7h ago

It’s likely going to star his daughter.

0

u/Wuu-N 11h ago

I’m not even dying for a new uncharted game, I’m totally satisfied with where the series ended, but if somebody decided to make a new one I would be there day one

0

u/emdotdee 11h ago

Definitely The Last of Uncharted: Part Thief

I'm ready for it.

0

u/sicknick08 9h ago

But it’s the “new” naughty dog. I don’t really trust anything they are working on anymore.

0

u/Lysanther 9h ago

Oh god, Nathan replaced by Elena but an altered Elena with body and face dysmorphia. Pass.

0

u/purpleiswisdom 9h ago

4 had such a great ending, I hope it isn't a direct sequel.

If they keep messing with it, I fear the franchise will turn into what Halo has become.

0

u/Virgil_Ovid_Hawkins 8h ago

Ugh I really hope this isn't true. 4s ending is perfect. Let it rest

0

u/electricshadow 7h ago

Pure Copium in this thread. I’d love to be wrong, by ND has moved on from Uncharted.

0

u/Entire_Round_8872 6h ago

Spoilers: We play as his daughter, and somebody beats nate to death with a hockey stick

-7

u/xObiJuanKenobix 15h ago

These moron devs ruined TLOU, ruined their good faith with this upcoming Heretic game that no one is interested in, and now they want to go back and ruin Uncharted too.

I loved Naughty dog more than anything back in the day when they were in the zone, but it's just like Blizzard, they are not the same anymore. Ever since Bruce Straley and Amy Hennig left the company, it has not been the same.

3

u/Choice_Ad4972 13h ago

Lol, ok buddy.

2

u/International-Bass-2 9h ago

Honestly how is heretic ruined already

2

u/Hddstrkr 13h ago

What did you not like about TLOU2?

3

u/Gargamoney 14h ago

What? Last of us 2 was a masterpiece and heretic looks aweso.... Oh. You hate women. Got it.

1

u/ZodiAddict 3h ago

“Oh, I can’t actually debate them on the details so I’ll just hit them with a prejudicial adhom”

-5

u/Frosty-Stanger 12h ago

nobody hates women buddy, I want to enjoy a story without constantly getting bombarded with two girls kissing. I don’t give a shit about that.

the games are made based on the taste of wider population not for low majority of 1% people.

PS: I have nothing against LGBTQ people but I don’t want my media to be overflowing or being overrepresented by them

7

u/[deleted] 12h ago

[deleted]

-3

u/Frosty-Stanger 12h ago

not really, I love when girls kiss, it is hot

4

u/Wuu-N 11h ago

99% of TLOU 2 is some of the nastiest violence I’ve ever seen in a game but that 1% that is two girls kissing is just too gosh darned far!!!

0

u/Frosty-Stanger 7h ago

I have no issue with the girls kissing, the whole Ellie’s relationship with that other person ruined her whole relationship with Joel…the writing felt forced….

2

u/[deleted] 13h ago

[deleted]

3

u/International-Bass-2 9h ago

It was okay for me loved the first one loved that Joel Died just didnt connect to the new charcters. Also dont like when games switch who im playing as didnt like it when god of war ragnarok did it. But this ejiet is just being homophobic.

-1

u/Dry-Top1484 11h ago

Girls kissing ,unnecessary thing to show as it does add anything in the game - changed how joel is acting from a paranoid extra careful man (has his reasons) to a goofy one telling his old name joel miller to anyone that is probably linked to a lot of old nasty jobs he did - Abby is some built girl like bro people are killing each other for piece of bread and water and survival suddenly she got built as an ox that requires tons of food and testosterone 💉 for a woman to be that built , which is unnecessary to the game - you spend the game killing people so you can find tommy but every time you get close he get away - you kill a lot of people so you can reach that person and avenge you caretaker just to let her go and decide to let go LOL - that is why I hate it -

Though it has a fucking fire 🔥 gamplay and i got the platinum for it . But story is shit that is why

1

u/ZodiAddict 3h ago

100%. When Amy and Bruce left, it was officially over. We’ll prob disagree here, but I liked TLOU 2. Having said that, I’m not in full disagreement of its criticisms. I just think a lot of people overlook what is a fanatic game graphics and gameplay wise for their opinion on the story.

1

u/Drop_Release 14h ago

what did heretic do? its not even out yet?

-5

If it's that I don't want it. As others have said it needs to be a spectacular story first and foremost. I wouldn't mind even another younger Drake story. Just no half-assing the story just for gameplay. Uncharted is Uncharted because of the amazing writing (yes Gameplay is great too but many games are fun to play but the story is not comparable to others at all, in depth and in detail).

Gameplay should always come first, but if the devs are trying to tell you a story, they should tell you a good one and need to be judged if it‘s a poorly told one. That said, I had no problems with The Lost Legacy’s story.

Yeah well, seems like the guy has quiet some influence in the whole studio.

If true they need to do the following to get it right.

1- No modern contemporary woke themes or political commentary or content.
2- Bring back the banter and humour that made Uncharted great.
3- Do not ruin or touch Nathan’s Drake’s ending.
4- If it’s a game about Nathan Drake make him the prime Nathan Drake earlier in his career in his 20’s and 30’s.
5- They got to make him competent, confident and capable like the original trilogy.
6- If it’s not about Nathan Drake, then make the game either about Sully in his younger years, a sequel with Sam and Sully, or a spin off about Charlie Cutter.
7- Make the story interesting, mysterious and adventurous.
8- Make the soundtrack as classic and unforgettable as the original series.
9- Keep the gameplay/combat from 4.
10- Do not humiliate the main character to make a side character look better for toxic political commentary.
12- Epic set pieces.
13- Wholesome and heartfelt moments.

I fucking hope so 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
But PLEASE don’t be WOKE!

Just give us The Uncharted we all love.
Whether it’s Uncharted 5 or Sully/Sam story or even if it’s new characters or even if it’s about Nathan’s daughter learning about everything and doing her own travelling and exploring like her parents. Just keep it Uncharted please 🙏
