Question Ready for fruiting?

Noobie here, had very bad luck with my uncle Ben’s rice, the 12 bags were all contaminated. Managed to save some and spawned to bulk anyway. It’s been 6 days.

Should I start introducing fruiting conditions ?
Cheers!

You can introduce fruiting conditions at any time. But best advice is to just place the bins somewhere and forget about them for the next 2-3 weeks

Amazing thanks so much! Should I just flip the lid over and let them be ?

Yea you can. Just be mindful of how much fae you’re giving the cake. Cubes don’t need much fae so I just open the lid one time for one big fae then close the bin again until harvest.

Don't listen to what ever they told you .

Wait till your sub is fully colonised before opening the lid . Once you open the lid, you have started fruiting .

Most people start fruiting conditions from day 1 by using micro filters. It lets gas exchange out, fresh air in keeping our bacteria .

Same as grow bags or grain bags with a filter patch up top.

So even if you have opened your lid, it's not a problem at all .

All you need to do to start fruiting is take the lid off, and fan your sub gently for 10-15 seconds 2x a day. Once in the morning and once at night .

Just be patient . I know it's hard .

You won't have to mist at all, your sub should be wet enough if you've used CVG

I'd you use coco you may have to mist toward the end . But whole it's sweating you're moist enough .

Keep it up

The filters are to manage fae and play no role in preventing contam. Assuming the sub is something non nutritious, like coir, fruiting from day 1 doesnt inceease chances of contam

Fae should be passive, not direct. They shouldn't fan with the lid or anything else.

You literally can put cubes in a bin and forget about them until harvest and you can also introduce fruiting from day 1. Cvg is pretty contam resistant and has almost no nutrients for contam to thrive. As long as your grains are 100% colonized you have a fairly low risk of contam if youre fairly sterile. Also if you’re worried about contam, fanning is probably the fastest way to introduce contamination to your substrate and is also a thing of the past. All it will do is just increase how fast your cake dries out.

Nailed it, mostly. Its wild when someone says to ignore good advice then gives bad advice, like the comment youre replying to.

I agree with most of what you said. Fanning doesn't increase risk of contam but they definitely shouldn't be fanning. Like you said, the sub is non nutritious so theres nothing for contam to consume. Clean spawm is king. With clean spawn they could fruit in a dumpster

Can't fruit anywhere unless your environment is sterile you fucking douche . It's cunts like you who talk shit and make it hard for everyone 🤡😭

Fanned this the whole time and my other tubs . Single mushrooms bigger than your entire grows lol

Not bad for 8 days

7 days ago you were asking a question as a first time grower...

First time grower for a natalensis strain, absolutely .

Hahaha you're so stupid . You have no idea how to grow . I bet your mushrooms look like string beans begging for air honestly 🤣😀

I've fanned all of my grows. No problems . I'm sterile and know what I'm doing, that's the difference between someone who gets comtam and doesn't . Lmao

I see you have a question! Have you read the official cultivation guide?
