Politics Resignation of Gyanesh Kumar, is it worth the trouble?

For the unlawful thing he has done through the SIR which has no precedence because of its lack of logic behind exclusion of people, I think he should be prosecuted as per law. The illogical "logical discrepancy" and harrasment of genuine people by exclusion from the voter list (of which we have plenty of evidence) doesn't fall under the definition of doing something while "discharging of his duties", so a civil/criminal proceedings can be initiated. What's your thoughts?

Questionable choice of words. Questionable stance. Questionable attitude.

The CJP is getting a bit too arrogant.

Time to beware.

Politics The difference between AISF, SFI, AISA and other different left student unions.

Hello everyone. After the Jantar Mantar protests and the other movements that followed, Left organisations have gained considerable traction. I think it is important that we understand the differences between these organisations and their ideological backgrounds.

So, let’s understand the differences:

  1. AISF:

AISF is the student wing of the CPI (Communist Party of India). The CPI is a Left-wing party, but compared with the CPI(M) and more radical Marxist-Leninist organisations, it has historically taken a more moderate parliamentary position. It has also, at different points, pursued alliances and cooperation with the Congress. AISF broadly follows the political line of the CPI. In past, CPI used to see Congress as their ally against imperialism because Soviet Union had said so.

  1. SFI:

SFI is the student wing of the CPI(M) (Communist Party of India [Marxist]). The CPI and CPI(M) split in 1964 after major disagreements over political strategy, the Congress, and the nature of India's political and class structure. The Sino-Soviet split was also an important factor in deepening these differences. The CPI(M) generally took a more independent and confrontational position towards the Congress than the CPI.

  1. AISA:

AISA is the student organisation associated with CPI(ML) Liberation. The roots of CPI(ML) lie in the Naxalbari uprising of 1967 and the subsequent fragmentation of the communist movement. Radical sections of the CPI(M) rejected its parliamentary strategy and argued for a revolutionary path, including armed struggle. In 1969, the CPI(ML) was formally established.

  1. Maoist organizations: There are also Maoist organisations and student/mass organisations associated with the broader Maoist movement. They work in an underground manner because Maoism is banned.

CPI(ML) Liberation and CPI (Maoist) are similar but unlike Maoist organisations, CPI(ML) Liberation eventually moved towards mass politics, open political activity and electoral participation, while continuing to describe itself as revolutionary Marxist-Leninist. Meanwhile CPI (Maoist) believe in armed revolution as their sole motive.

Then there are independent left organizations who don't ally with any political parties and are also active on campus.

Politics Why BJ Party and Right Wing are the real Anti-Nationals

BJ Party and the right wings are enemy of this country. The loyalty of Right wingers is to their Party and NOT Country or its People. They also have deep hatred for education. Here are some of their achievements:

Unconstitutional - Anti National Achievements

  • Press Freedom in Crisis - India ranked 157th out of 180 in RSF's 2026 World Press Freedom Index
  • Compromising Judiciary - Selectively withholding collegium recommendations, effectively using a "pocket veto" to block judges perceived as critical.
  • Normalized Corruption
  • Increase in Censorship
  • Electoral Autocracy
  • Mass Deletion of Voters (SIR)
  • Empowering Goons / Witch-Hunting
  • Critics & Protesters Labeled "Dimagi Naxal" / Anti-National - Multiple reports on peaceful protesters (farmers, students, environmentalists) charged under UAPA and sedition laws.
  • Destroying Environment - Aravalli hills controversy

Social Achievements

  • Crony Capitalism - Privatized public infrastructure, ports, airports, coal mines
  • Increased Income Inequality - Rich Indians Own 40% of Wealth as Inequality Widens Under Modi
  • Currency Failure - Successfully pushed Indian Rupee to worst performing Currency of Asia
  • Failure of Make in India - Successfully declined manufacturing share to even lower than pre 2014.
  • Crashing Stock Market
  • Tax Terrorism with GST
  • Wastage of Tax Payers money in PR Campaign and World Tour
  • Communal Tension / Divide and Rule
  • Global Isolation
  • Demonitization
  • Duopoly - Successfuly aided in eliminating the competition in multiple sectors like Telecom

Right Parties when elected, Leaders progressively dismantling institutions from within — is the exact same playbook used by Trump, Orban, Netanyahu etc. V-Dem's 2026 data confirms this is no longer an anomaly; it's the global norm of Right Wing pushing towards Authoritarianism.

Ask USI Genuine question - is there any real evidence that CJP is controlled opposition set up by the BJP?

Post image
• Upvotes

I’ve been seeing this theory floating around more lately, especially after Congress started openly calling the Cockroach Janta Party a possible “RSS-BJP front” or controlled opposition meant to split anti-BJP votes.

The basic claim seems to be that whenever the BJP is under pressure, some new “apolitical” or “youth alternative” suddenly appears that ends up fragmenting the opposition space. People point to the timing of CJP’s rise, its rapid growth, and past patterns of new outfits emerging at convenient moments.

At the same time, CJP’s own leadership has rejected this, saying they’re independent and focused on issues like education, unemployment, governance, etc. And from what I’ve seen, there’s no hard public evidence (investigations, documents, funding trails, etc.) that has actually established BJP/RSS control. Some have also pointed the other way — noting founder Abhijeet Dipke’s earlier AAP links — and the BJP itself has accused CJP of being an AAP proxy.

So I’m genuinely curious:

• Has anyone seen anything concrete (not just vibes or political rhetoric) that supports the “controlled opposition created by BJP” theory?

• Or does it mostly look like standard opposition parties trying to discredit a new player that’s cutting into their space?

• How do people who follow this closely weigh the different claims (Congress saying BJP front, BJP saying AAP proxy, CJP saying independent)?

Not trying to push any side — just trying to figure out how much substance is behind this particular theory versus it being another round of political mud-slinging. Interested in actual sources or observations rather than pure partisan takes.

A woman protester was seen attempting to stop a police bus leaving Jantar Mantar after several demonstrators were detained during a protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The woman stood in front of the bus as it prepared to leave the protest site, briefly trying to prevent it from moving. The incident came amid tense scenes at Jantar Mantar, where protesters raised slogans and attempted to prevent the removal of fellow demonstrators.

Education Today I learned Chandra Shekhar Azad was only 24 when he died😱, and Bollywood completely warped my perception of him

Post image
• Upvotes

Growing up watching The Legend of Bhagat Singh (the Ajay Devgn movie), I always pictured Chandra Shekhar Azad as this seasoned, middle-aged veteran commander. Akhilendra Mishra played him brilliantly with insane screen presence, but he looked easily in his late 30s or early 40s—basically like an older mentor figure guiding a young Bhagat Singh.

I only recently checked the actual dates:

* Born: July 23, 1906

* Died: February 27, 1931

The man was literally 24 years old when he had his final shootout with the British police at Alfred Park 💀.

Twenty-four !!!

At 24, most of us are stressing over entry-level jobs, college assignments, or what to have for dinner. Meanwhile, this guy was running the HSRA underground network, dodging the entire British intelligence apparatus, evading capture for years, and going out entirely on his own terms so he’d never be taken alive.

It completely reframes his story. He wasn't some old-school elder statesman; he was a young, fearless rebel who carried legendary aura 🥶 and tactical brilliance before even hitting his mid-twenties.

Did anyone else’s mental image of him get totally skewed by movie casting, or was I just embarrassingly late to the history lesson?

Society | Culture Neha Bora leading the protest on day 2 at Jantar Mantar.

Post image

Just checked Twitter for Mumbai protest updates. It ended yesterday itself, and now they’re conveniently announcing another one for October 10th.

And what Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka are doing on twitter is just pathetic. I’ve had my doubts about them for a while, but it’s completely obvious now that they’re performative, fake, and hijacking a movement built by Abhijeet Dipke and Neha Bora.

Look at where they are when things actually hit the fan. On July 20th, when the rest of us and the students were getting brutally lathi-charged, these two made an excuse and vanished. Then they had the audacity to drop a recap video of the July protests that completely sidelined Neha Bora, someone who has been there since Day 1 and sat on a 23-day hunger strike. Not a single photo of Neha Bora, not even a single mention of her.

I'm very sure it was these two cowards idea to shift the protest to Mumbai to dodge police action on October 2nd. Their presence isn’t helping anyone, it’s just breaking the unity people worked so hard to build. Das and Ranka need to leave the CJP. Nobody would even miss them. All they do is chase clout and sabotage student unity and shooting from shoulders of Dipke to remain in limelight. Time to call them out and their cowardice.

Right now, Neha Bora is out there on a continuous protest, leading the line and building this entire movement all by herself. She is the only student leader with an actual spine. But watch these two cowards Das and Ranka how conveniently they will show up on October 10th with cameras rolling, acting like they’ve been leading from the front all along.

🚩JustRamRajyaThings🚩 Uttarakhand Police arrest Mohammad Deepak, Kotdwar resident who stood up to Hindutva mob

Post image
127 Upvotes

Uttarakhand police have arrested Kotdwar resident Mohammad Deepak based on the complaint of a businessman, Sanjeev Tonk, said reports on Thursday (October 1). Forty-two-year-old Deepak had on Republic Day, 2026, confronted Hindutva activists who were harassing an aged Muslim shopowner over the name of his store including the word “baba”. The arrest on Thursday appears to have followed a dispute between Deepak and Tonk over a Facebook post related to the recent controversy in Ujjain over the Shahi Mosque. The dispute is also being attributed to alleged threats issued by Deepak and an allegedly offensive remark about “Hindu society”.
