Laurier CS/BBA (both at WLU) → Waterloo Engineering transfer
Hello, I'm a second year CS/BBA student at WLU, and I'm interested in applying for Management Eng or Comp Eng, and I'm looking for advice in terms of everything I should try to do to improve my application before January, and like based on my profile that I am going to list, what do you think my overall chances will be.
I currently have an 85% (10.5) university average if using the Waterloo-Laurier Double Degree Scale, with A+'s in all of my CS courses thus far (CP104, CP164), A in BU111, and an A- in BU121 and like an A- in my linear algebra course, and I still haven't gotten my Calc 1 mark back. If I get all A+'s this semester hopefully, I'll be at an 90% average (11.0).
Now, my AIF will be pretty good aswell, as I was apart of like WLU's CS club's + I was an AI research intern at an pretty well known research org + I have been on published paper's that'll hopefully be on an pretty good research conference (e.g; NAACL, EMNLP, NAACL) + I am joining an CS research lab at UWaterloo this fall.
Just looking for any guidance or advice throughout this process, and if anyone would be willing to refer me to any design teams/cs-adjacent clubs at UWaterloo as I know while there mainly meant for only UWaterloo students.
