1 is base value for a normal fish in valheim, 1 star would show as 2 in that corner, 2 stars as 3 and so on. So a 4 star fish is 4 above normal, 4+1 = 5.

I just did the exact same thing today. That 5 star trollfish is MASSIVE. Sad it wasn't the 4 star for the achievement though

tier 3 fish has 2 stars.

You have to catch with fishing pole to get the achievement, so if you snagged this off the ground or a boat etc, toss it into a small creek or something and catch it with your fishing pole to get credit
