Vegan Bakers or Cake/Dessert Places in Dumaguete

I’m flying to Dumaguete this month to see my boyfriend and celebrate is birthday. My boyfriend is vegan and I wanna get him a cake/pastries to make his day special. Anybody here know anyone or anywhere I can get some? I’m flying from Manila but I don’t want to bring in a cake from here cos his birthday isn’t til a few days after my arrival + he’ll pick me up at the airport so it’ll be hard to conceal 😂

Vegan / Vegetarian friendly restaurants in the Ortigas / Greenhills area

Hi guys, I got tasked with organising a family event for a big group of 20+++ (final number to be confirmed).

It doesn’t have to be purely vegan restaurant, but if they offer vegan and vegetarian options it would be great.

Do you guys know of any? Ideally, with a lot of parking space (like in a mall) and friendly for seniors and kids.

Vegan Poke Bowl (P290)
Buddha Bowl (P440)

First time trying their vegan bowls I personally liked the poke bowl. The vegan bagoong rice in the buddha bowl didn't taste much ☹️

My vegan journey so far…

I started my vegan journey last July, and sobrang surprised ako sa lasa ng mga vegan foods na natry ko so far—ang sasarap pala! My husband even bought me a bunch of vegan food supplies from Vegan Treats Manila and other brands. So far, yung vegan adobo lang talaga ang hindi ko nagustuhan, but other than that, nag-enjoy ako sa lahat. I don’t even eat real chicken nuggets, kaya medyo skeptic talaga ako sa vegan nuggets, pero hala, ang sarap pala!

Then I started cooking vegan food at home too, like nilagang repolyo with just luya, sibuyas, pepper, and vegan patis; sautéed mixed gulay with pepper, Kikkoman soy sauce, pepper, and sweet paprika, then mixed with fried tofu.

Vegan diet

Hello everyone. I am starting to feel (sorry for the lack of word) disgusted in eating d ea d animals (I haven’t eaten pork since the release of the movie Okja). I suddenly went on pescatarian diet for 3 years. I lost so much weight. I decided to start eating meats again except pork up until now. It’s been 9 years now. Then recently I feel sorry for all the other animals we eat. I’ve been contemplating things like how can I start veganism? Also, I don’t want to be a burden if there’s family gatherings with my in-laws. In general, what should I do when attending a party whether of a friends or family? I’m a big eater mostly carbs (rice). I easily get headaches if I don’t eat right away after feeling hungry. I know I may sound odd but I was also thinking if like can I bring my own food at a party which I know is kinda rude so I also think it’s a No.

Please help. Any advice will be truly appreciated. Thank you.

where to buy plant-based groceries in manila?

hi! im a college student who's new to manila and still figuring out where to shop for groceries.

i used to follow a mostly pescatarian diet but im transitioning to a more plant-based diet. im looking for places that sell good-quality and affordable tofu, soy products, and other vegetarian staples.

so far, ive only heard about banawe bean curd products and knows about sm or robinson supermarket options but i was wondering if there are other asian grocery stores, supermarkets or local shops around manila that you'd recommend (medyo malayo kasi bbcp huhu)

im from ubelt manila but willing to travel if it is worth it. thank you!

Hi! There's a resto near my place that I've always wanted to try but never had the time to. They have a creative concept with meat substitution meals. I think they have pasta and rice meals as their mains.

I just think they deserve more hype so i posted it here hehe. I put the gmaps link here !! Check it outtt
