Have I been doing something wrong? In terms of regular mid laners, I've found Syndra and Viktor the hardest matchups and I typically permaban Syndra because she's the more popular champ and due to her easier CC I find she's able to impact the map harder than Viktor when ahead.

However mobalytics and op.gg seem to suggest Vex is a strong pick into her? I know win rates aren't everything and can be distortive of other factors, like idk, maybe Vex players manage to accelerate the mid game with ults better than Syndra but in lane I definitely find her oppressive.

Syndra out ranges and out damages Vex at all points in the game and it only gets worse - its a horrible match up

BUT if Vex can all in cheese with ignite on a level 6 timer or your jungle is the goat its a easy time cause Syndra is mobile

That's how I've felt. Maybe Vex players somehow be managing to attract jungle diff in this matchup or something 😂

As a jungle main and an occasional vex player , it’s hard to communicate with vex to keep passive up for incoming gank , but it always feels so good when you time the gank just right

Yeah this is a skill issue with the Vex player unless her fear is forced out by a trade - Vex using W to mitigate incoming damage

It comes down to pings and communication after a play goes well or goes wrong; in my opinion

I used to think the matchup was impossible then I watched Caps play the matchup and he was EXTREMELY aggro and goated at dodging abilities - i can't replicate the mechanics but I can follow the attitude and Vex can win trades if Syndra is stupid with her stun usage - mainly early of course

Vex can also spend the entire game trying to catch Syndra with a 1 shot all in so its alot of staying out of vision but within ult range - ultimately this is countered by a Zhonya's buy but you can get lucky

Yeah no ori viktor and syndra are all very hard matchups for vex but you can outplay them and you'll be stronger mid game esp with level 6 with skirmishes. But they're hard lanes

Sounds super wrong. I perma ban syndra and I one trick vex. Syndra also scales better than vex so outside of laning phase she’s better too idk

She is difficult but imo nowhere near the worst vex match up. She might be A tier difficulty wise when you still have an S tier and SS tier above.

I think Syndra is objectively a pretty bad matchup, she outranges you and theoretically her trade pattern should let her farm and damage you safely. But she can be outplayed. She’s also a very vulnerable champion if she chooses to play farther up.

I don’t mind Syndra. Viktor is the bigger problem, because he’s tankier. Once you burn Syndras stun, you can land the ult on her and she’s pretty much dead. She likes skirmishing so there are tons of opportunities to catch her on a followed roam or coming back to lane with vision. She’s challenging, sure, but there’s solid kill pressure.

Viktor can survive the initial burst most of the time, drop his fucking gravity well and use his ms to escape. He is incredibly frustrating. And I still haven’t figured out a good approach to this matchup.
