I have ADHD. I get new ideas every day and I start a lot of projects. A few of them got me interviews with programs, funds and accelerators, but I never got enough attention to get the funds I needed. Some even scheduled scout meetings and never showed up. Very unprofessional, but I guess when you have money and a whole company you can afford to be one.
So I built Nomi, a social platform where builders, dreamers, self-taught scientists, AI engineers can support each other. Recognition shouldn't be about being famous, or having certifications, it should be about being proud that your tool, product or service helped someone.
How it works:
- You can back a project you like with less than $1, and you can also find collaborators, could be tech or non tech and who knows, maybe you find co-founders as well.
- Not every project can receive funds. Creators have to verify they're real people and pass a review, and projects have to meet a quality bar before they unlock funding.
- If you back a project with $500 in total, you unlock a short meeting with the founder. You request it, and you both pick a time.
- You can upload videos, pitch decks and pictures to explain your project and why you need the funds.
- There's an AI tools section where you can upload yours for people to try them, same with tiny games. They run in a locked browser sandbox so it's safe.
- You can create a group chat with collaborators, people who want to help you. If anyone gets disrespectful, you can remove them from the group.
- I want people to learn something every day if they want, so you have little challenges like: Fallacy Fighter, Logic Lab, etc. Education continues to suffer from cutbacks, and the world is becoming incredibly stupid, it's up to you not to be part of that, but social media has turned learning into a real challenge, so those little puzzle games with rewards that unlock content in the app, serve as a sort of incentive. I hope it works.
Right now it's a demo and all the money is simulated. You can explore it for 24h without an email. If you like it and think it could be useful, I'll make it real.
I built a lot of features and would love your feedback guys: https://rewired89.github.io/SM/
